How to dump? I only got 3% of the shares I applied for. BTW when will I get back the 97% of my money? Later miss the boat how? Lucky I never apply for MCB, stuck for 10 years.

I only got 3% of the excess rights I applied for, so jialat. Who got the 60+mil excess shares?
SIA is now a gambling stock? There is a saying 9 out 10 gamblers are likely to lose.

Hard to say if GAP down. BB always do the reverse. May be huat up 🥳
Rights shares can already be sold last Thur/Fri since settlement is T+2, its the excess rights that can only be traded today because investors only know how much excess they will be getting today. I expect them to dump today at the open since the excess shares were bought for only $3, should see big gap down today.

From BUSINESS TIMES .....hot off the press.......
" THIS week, shareholders of Singapore Airlines (SIA) will be able to begin trading their rights shares and 10-year mandatory convertible bonds (MCBs). And, by the looks of things, they should enjoy a strong tailwind of positive sentiment."
There is a lot of talk about retrenchments not being done. Govt already paying staff salary so no need to retrench plus SQ has a lot of retirees who are on contract basis. Their contracts have been cancelled. Know your facts.

There is no guarantee that Sia shares will drop if Sia were to issue
more McB in the future. Sia may not even issue new McB if flights are increased
gradually such that Sia is able to sustain its operation.

You dont have to remain a bull or a bear. Does not matter if it is a Buy or Sell market tomorrow. There will always be opportunities for everybody. As long as you are able to read the market, and do not behave stubbornly. All we want is to make money. Of course its not as easy as it seems. Many will screw up. It helps if you already have some ready shares to start off.
Good Luck all!
Stay away if you intend to keep for the Long term.

Dont get too excited. Read carefully.
< The group had announced in March that it would cut 96 per cent of its capacity and ground 138 planes from SIA and SilkAir, out of a total fleet of 147.
With the reinstated flights, SIA has cut about 94 per cent of the passenger capacity originally scheduled for June and July, it said. >
Only a 2% increase in capacity. Reason why major airlines in other countries recovered a lot due to domestic flights. For a good comparison, need to find an airline similar to SIA which serves international. Dont compare to US or EU airlines where their flights fly domestic.
Watch out for the monthly operation statistics released by SIA.

SIA rolls out enhanced COVID-19 safety measures as travel set to take off again
Some news flow from BT. Good to hear they are considering right-sizing staff.  This will reduce overheads.  I like the words " will have to review possible job cuts" .  Sounds right to ensure the long term survival. No point hanging onto unproductive staff and pilots, if the demand has shrunk drastically. Can re-hire when times are better.

[SINGAPORE] Singapore Airlines will focus on recovering from the coronavirus outbreak and doesn' t plan to cut jobs at the moment, the Sunday Times reported, citing the carrier' s chief executive officer Goh Choon Phong.
Still, the airline will have to review possible job cuts, Mr Goh was quoted as saying in the report, without providing more details. Singapore Airlines has offered its staff voluntary unpaid leave and some have taken temporary posts outside the company after it slashed most of its flights due to the coronavirus outbreak.
