When most things in the market are cheap, what is the motivation or incentive to look at this given the uncertainty and black hole?

imagine the last post is on 29 sept ... this counter still mire in mud .... probably need water to wash clean
No midnight call from Nigeria?
If you look at the background of Kewalram, they have been in Nigeria since 1900 and they have operations there aside from Olam.I would therefore expect that they are pretty well informed about developments there both historically and in the present. Specifically, the idea that fsomething might have happened in Nigeria without management in Singapore knowing seems less likely given Kewalram' s presence. Also the fact they are now buying shares is a very positive signal in this context.

so far so good the price is well support ... could be as yuhanooi said the major shareholder buying gave market the confidence .....
hopefully muddy and cloudy water will become clear water.
if market continue to close at 1.09 it will slowly inch up

Bought 2 equal tranches at 1.12 & 1.09. With benefit of hindsight the first buy was a bit early. Anyhow, holding this for mid to long term.

Kewalram, Chanrai family founded Olam , Temasek bailed them out by buying their controlling shareholding.
Yes, this shareholder been buying consistently, I believe they were the original owners of tis company. Shareholder buying is different from company buybacks, probably sending a stronger signal of confidence. Dyodd.
