"Good evening everyone!
In response to Reiner's question to assess the impact of the surge in COVID-19 and delayed construction on the prices and demand of building materials in relation to ICG, here's my view:
It is with almost certainty that the subsequent waves of COVID-19 and the delay in construction will have an adverse impact on the demand and prices of building materials. However, it is also important to understand this in the context (i.e. operating theatre) of ICG's cement plants.
When COVID-19 struck Tajikistan and Kazakhstan in 2020, the govt had imposed strict measures and lockdowns to control the spread. This has seen the prices and demand of building materials fall dramatically at one point, but we were still able to witness ICG recording a higher production and sales of cement in its FY2020 over its FY2019 and FY2018. This meant that the demand for cement recovered, and was even able to increase, in the same year.
Now, Kazakhstan, like any other countries, is seeing a surge in COVID-19 cases, but the measures put in place since Oct 2020 to control the spread has clearly stated for essential businesses to continue operations as per normal. In this regard, it is likely that Kazakhstan's 1.2Mt cement plant is operating at full capacity today, which shall make 1H2021 record the highest ever cement production and volume sales.
Just my view."

Price is firming at 53. Will there is further confirmation at 54, will start to accumulate more. This counter is certainly offering more potential than MM2 Asia which is in entertainment section. Despite Covid-19, the price of MM2 Asia is at all time high. ICG next ...

Talking about negative impact brought by Covid-19, many listed companies in particular operating in aviation and marine industry are far worse. SIA for example would have collapsed by now without Temasek. ICG price will rebound near future. Be patient. Kazakhstan's 1.2Mt cement plant is operating at full capacity now and the coming quarter will see ICG in a better position to justify higher share price with higher profit.

$Intl Cement^(KUO.SI)  Some may view this chart as a triple bottom or double bottom or is set to break even lower.
My view is that the chart presents a triple bottom at the moment. The triple bottom chart pattern is a rare, but extremely effective reversal pattern. It&rsquo s rare since the successive creation of three equal lows doesn&rsquo t happen quite often. Therefore, the double bottom is a more frequent chart pattern as it requires one low less to happen.
On the other hand, its scarcity makes it a very strong and powerful pattern. The sellers are extremely exhausted after three consecutive attempts to break lower, which makes them exposed to a rally as buyers feel much more confident after defending strong horizontal support.
The triple bottom formation doesn&rsquo t have any apparent weaknesses. Actually, its biggest limitation is that it doesn' t occur quite often, otherwise it would be the strongest reversal pattern out there.
That said, watch out whether it can rebound from 0.054 decisively .

The Dow Jones has been surging all these while till the last few days. ST index on the other hand remain more or less in the "same position ". Yes, with patience, you can see the selling for this counter has more or less exhausted. Time to reverse for ICG. Patience...
