Need to verify that source that says it is debt free, far from the truth.
According to financials, Long term debt is $55bln.        Total equity = 94 bln.  How can be debt free?

I thought I read somewhere that ThaiBev is almost debt free?

ThaiBev debt level is quite high, likely won' t be involved in the UE purchase.
UE may not be so straightforward as we all think, Charoen has shown through the APB and F& N buyout that he is a strategic thinker and his strategies not easily decoded.
He bought both cos from OCBC, everyone thought he was after APB, when the price of APB shot up he pocketed millions.    The endgame was F& N' s properties that he spun off as a Reit.
So UE may play out very differently from what the masses think.    OCBC has other properties besides UE, quite a few.

it could be recent strong quarter or its TCC acquisition of United Engineer ...
or its bright long term prospect...
or could be institution investor has no way to park their money and pump up the shares
due to its bright prospect to the future...
or something is brewing and we have yet to know
these are the possiblities ... bottom line is who cares as long as it going up those
who vested are

Give DBS Vicker a chance. Believe in them. In fact, for whatever reason, this counter is heading, up up all the way ....
Probably, institution investors believe their judgement and loaded lots of ThaiBev counter.

Today, DBSV revised its target price upwards to 80c.  Problem is, DBSV seem to be parroting others and join the buy/sell chorus only when share price has moved up/down sobstantially.  Eg, they made their buy call on Valuetronics with 72c tp only after the price had been fried to around 50c.  Then they revised TP downwards (think it' s 60c) only after price had collapsed.  So, how to trust tbeir calls?

Going by TA purely, this is a breakout case, one that I identified, bought into, but sold out due to chicken out.  Have to admit it' s one of the big mistakes I made.    Otherwise would have made a fortune on this breakout!
