Rioters destroyed millions of dollars worth of equipment - Muiane Tantalum mine

2015-11-17) An angry mob attacked a tantalum mine in Gile district, in the central Mozambican province of Zambezia, and destroyed millions of dollars worth of equipment last week, reports the Monday issue of the independent daily " O Pais" .
The mine, at Muiane, is operated by the company Tantalum Mineracao e Prospeccao Limitada, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Canadian Pacific Wildcat Resources Corporation.
The trouble began on 9 November when police shot dead an illegal miner who had slipped inside the mine in order to steal material. Spotting the intruder, a policeman shot and killed him.
A group of rioters then descended on the mine armed with rifles, machetes and pickaxes and proceeded to loot and destroy. They intended to lynch the South African director and other expatriates at the mine, but they were able to drive to safety before the rioters could catch them.
Rioters who spoke to " O Pais" claimed this was not the first time local people had been shot dead at the mine. Another illegal miner, speaking on condition of anonymity, declared " We don' t want to see the managers of this company operating in the mine anymore. Otherwise we will take the law into our own hands. The director of the company does not respect us, and we cannot allow someone to come and enslave us in our own country" .
The local residents also complain that Tantalum Mineracao has not kept its promises to repair access roads and provide a school and hospital for the local community.
There were 70 Mozambicans employed at the mine, and all have now been thrown into unemployment. The other immediate result of the destruction of the mine has been an explosion of child labour &ndash the independent television station, STV, filmed dozens of children hacking away at a rock face at Muiane, in an attempt to extract tourmalines and other precious stones (judging by the children interviewed by STV, they were largely unsuccessful).
The director of Tantalum Mineracao, Chippy Shaik, said the attack on the company made no sense, since it was the police, and not any company employee, who had shot the thief. " I don&rsquo t see why they are holding the company responsible, since we didn' t open fire" , he said
Shaik regretted the death of the thief, but also the fact that the police have not opened any investigation into the matter. He asked what guarantees of security investors have from the Mozambican government, when rioters could so easily overrun the mine.
Shaik said that, after the management had fled, looting at the mine continued, with no attempt by the authorities to restore order.
He put the value of the machinery destroyed at ten million US dollars. " Who is going to pay for the expenditure the company made over the last eight years in state-of-the-art machinery for extracting minerals?" , he asked.
The Muiane area acquired by Pacific Wildcat covers 250 square kilometres. A primary tantalum processing plant was commissioned at the site in February 2011, followed by a secondary processing plant in early 2012.
Tantalum is a rare metal that is highly resistant to corrosion. It is chemically inert, which makes it valuable for components of laboratory equipment and for medical uses such as implants and bone repair. Its major use, however, is in capacitors for electronic equipment such as computers and mobile phones.

If you notice Ronald McDonald K always post those trades that he done and say got reactions, BB pump up blablablah. But yesterday was a squeeze on shortists as average short sell value was 0.100. If there is selldown on heavy volume, this would be reversal. What we are seeing now is selling down with very strong buying interest. Some more news on tantalum - a tantalum mine was destroyed by rioters a few days ago. This has effect on supply. Also there are price sensitive news that I am not about to disclose here.

Project has an indicated resource of 26,500,000 tonnes containing 259,700 tonnes of lithium oxide and 9,514,317 pounds of tantalum pentoxide, and an inferred resource of 10,700,000 tonnes containing 92,020 tonnes of lithium oxide and 3,417,400 pounds of tantalum pentoxide.
Mine tantalum all the way to the Space. New use found for tantalum hard metal materials can be used for space exploration equipment since it has a high melting point of over 3000. Weapons of the new age would also be betting on new minerals materials to support.
Alliance minerals in a position to benefit as 40% of the global supply is from Africa region which has a sanction on the use of conflict region materials. Let' s see how this will play out.
Tantalum is expected to be going into shortage from end of 2015 onwards due increasing demand and also the interruption of supplies.

Notice he offloaded 500 lots yesterday at 0.109/0.110 and then immediately posts this. What are his intentions? Yesterday he says he wants the profits off the table. Today he says sellers more than buyers. I see post after post on his blog. Why is he doing this? Maybe he shorted at 0.11 today and needs to cover.

Seldom one would witness such a power manipulation when one really dissect the chart and continue to open up the cans of worms. Once in a lifetime do such activity happens and when it happened, I had to capture down and pen it down here on my blog.
Alliance Mineral just had a manipulation going on in the 5 min chart. See the amount of volumes that buy up followed by the sheer amount of sellers, that' s just indicated the buy push up was for creation of chasing activities for retailers to think the price was going higher, so the Big Boys can temporarily book more $$ off the table from higher price. Wow, amazing maneuvers! This is a once in a lifetime experience and a grateful opportunity to witness such a moment. :)

Seldom one would witness such a power manipulation when one really dissect the chart and continue to open up the cans of worms. Once in a lifetime do such activity happens and when it happened, I had to capture down and pen it down here on my blog.
Alliance Mineral just had a manipulation going on in the 5 min chart. See the amount of volumes that buy up followed by the sheer amount of sellers, that' s just indicated the buy push up was for creation of chasing activities for retailers to think the price was going higher, so the Big Boys can temporarily book more $$ off the table from higher price. Wow, amazing maneuvers! This is a once in a lifetime experience and a grateful opportunity to witness such a moment. :)

Well. I believe in holding this long term. CEO is trustworthy. Their cash flows are enough to last till next June at least. First shipment of tantalum may or may not have been completed. Production not yet at full scale already up 30 + 25 %, what will happen in Jan? DYODD
