Hi everyone  I am a newbie in this forum and currently holding some Sembcorp Marine Shares thus I would like to seek the bros and sis here for your advice.Understand that this Wed the rights will start to trade in the market. May i know do we need to subscribe the rights based on current status or we do not have to do anything and they will credit the rights to our CDP account. Anyone can  advice me please.

My opinions: it is time to slowly quit medical stocks. Load more bank stocks, blue chip stocks such as Keppel and Sembcorp as the world prepares for vaccine readiness and mass production. Yes, new Normal for the world to be conscious of more pPE but stock market is about sentiments. When vaccine is proven, medical stocks will be the casualties. Once battered blue chips will be first to rise.

Temasek used the 4 plus billion to buy into BlackRock.

SgTrader17      ( Date: 15-Aug-2020 17:16) Posted:

Temasek doesn't have the money to do so or Temasek wishes to choose the more cost savings and strategic way to do so? They just dropped the $4b deal for KC, that's already funds on hand available to utilize. Enough to take out Kep marine unit to combine with SCM. But tapping on public funds is more cost effective and for them to subscribe to the rights at lower price is cheaper than doing any offer or takeover. Which I see why the whitewash resolution came along. This is cost savings, cost effective. Getting at the all time low and there's more gains in the future when things turnaround.

Yes, TH will mop up all the unsubscribed rights

There is an underwriter for the rights issue right? The underwriter will have to mop up the rights if undersubscribed.

good point.  My take is that TH hopes retail investors will subscribe to the right
