13 cases have been found in the Netherlands and 2 each in Denmark and Australia, and it has also been detected in Britain, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Botswana, Israel and Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, Austria was investigating a suspected case on Sunday and in France, Health Minister Olivier Veran said the new variant was probably already circulating there.

The new coronavirus variant Omicron has been detected in 13 people who arrived in the Dutch capital Amsterdam on two flights from South Africa.
They are among 61 passengers who tested positive for coronavirus
There are still many unknowns about the new Omicron virus
For example, how transmissible, how fatal, is the current vaccine of any help etc
It is still early days and Moderna can come out and said that a vaccine will be available in early
2022. What makes them so confident ?
How is this possible, unless the virus was man made with a ready vaccine in mind
These Pharmaceutical companies are now acting like god and reeling in big bucks
Can it be a coincidence or there is something more to it.

One of my biz unit is in pharma and I have a regulatory pharmacist working in my company
once the mRNA (eg. Moderna or Pfizer) is licensed and approved, subsequent strain variation doesn' t have to go through whole process of licensing... only need to apply variation change which is very fast

similar to influenza vaccines... every half year, the strains contained in influenza vaccines change.. if require clinical trials, we won' t be able to receive new influenza vaccines every 6 months. |
