mm2 Asia chairman Ang' s stake lowered after forced selling by CGS International

Melvin Ang, executive chairman of mm2 Asia, has seen his stake in the company reduced by 50 million shares this past week to around 856 million shares, equivalent to 13.1%.

This reduction came after forced selling by CGS International of shares held with the broker over three days, " triggered by a decline in the margin maintenance ratio below the required threshold."

On Sept 18, 22 million shares were forced sold the following day, another 10 million shares were sold.

Shares were sold at 0.2 cents each on both days.

Earlier, on Sept 15, CGS International sold 18 million of Ang' s shares at 0.3 cents each.

On Sept 2, 9 million shares were sold at 0.3 cents as well.

Just the day earlier, mm2 Asia, which operates multiple entertainment and related businesses, announced it is winding up its cinema subsidiary Cathay Cineplexes.

According to mm2 Asia' s Sept 19 filing, Ang held 214.8 million shares under CGS-CIMB Securities (Singapore), and another 623,85 million shares with UOB Kay Hian under an entity called Lionsgate Alpha wholly-owned by him.

mm2 Asia shares, which closed at 0.2 cents on Sept 19, was down 80% year to date, valuing the company at just over $5.2 million.

SBST could be looking overseas for biz opportunities now that they have lost PT220 as our local market is too small and flooded with so many players?

Institutional play..

Alfie Yeo of RHB Bank Singapore has kept his " buy" call on Venture Corp given its attractive valuation and yield of around 6%.

After calibrating his earnings projections following the company' s 1HFY2025 results, Yeo, in his Aug 25 note, has derived a higher target price of $15 from $12.60 previously, on the back of sector re-rating and positive earnings outlook.

Earnings for the six months to June was down 8.6% y-o-y to $113 million, on the back of a 8.8% drop in revenue to $1.3 billion.

another CDG news..

ComfortDelGro ($1.49, down 1 cent) announced recently the acquisition
of remaining shares in Citycab.
CityCab Pte. Ltd. is a joint venture between ComfortDelGro Corporation
Limited and ST Engineering Land Systems Ltd. CDG and STLS owned 53.5%
and 46.5% respectively in CityCab. On 1 September 2025, CDG acquired
all of STLS&rsquo s shares in CityCab. As a result of the Acquisition, CityCab is
now a wholly-owned subsidiary of CDG.
CityCab has been managed by ComfortDelGro since 2005 as part of its
local taxi business. Full ownership will strengthen the Group&rsquo s core pointto-point business in Singapore and allow the Group to better integrate and
shape its global point-to-point business, adapting to market demands and
boosting profit contribution. This move reinforces the Group&rsquo s confidence
in point-to-point mobility as a key transportation solution. The acquisition
is expected to be earnings accretive.
The parties had jointly commissioned a valuation by Deloitte & Touche
Financial Advisory Services Pte Ltd (&ldquo Valuer&rdquo ) to determine the market
value of the Sale Shares based on International Valuation Standards.
Based on the Valuer&rsquo s report dated 25 August 2025, the parties have
agreed that the valuation of the Sale Shares is S$98.9 million. Taking
into account the agreed valuation, the Parties arrived at a total purchase
consideration of S$116.3 million on a willing-buyer-willing-seller basis.
The purchase consideration for the Acquisition has been paid in full and
was funded through CDG&rsquo s bank facilities.
Based on the audited financial statements of Citycab for Financial
Year ended 31 December 2024, the net tangible asset and book value
attributable to STLS&rsquo s shares in CityCab is approximately S$37.4 million.
The Acquisition is not expected to have any material impact on the net
tangible assets or earnings per share of CDG for the financial year ending
31 December 2025.
None of the Directors or controlling shareholders of CDG have any
interest, direct or indirect, in the Acquisition, save for their respective
interests, through their shareholdings and/or directorships, as the case
may be, in CDG.
The Acquisition constitutes a non-discloseable transaction under Chapter
10 of the Listing Manual of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading
Limited

Excerpt From FY2025 Financial Report

The Group suffered a  significant overall net loss of S$122.4 million  for the year ended 31 March 2025 as a result of recognition of losses from the provision of impairment losses, depreciation charges, amortisation charges and expected credit losses which amounted to approximately S$36.3 million. Additionally, if excluding the loss from discontinued operation of S$6.4 million and share of losses from cinema and digital business of S$82.4 million, the Group demonstrated resilience by achieving a net profit of S$2.7 million, despite the Concert and Event business having fewer projects completed in financial year ended 31 March 2025 as compared to last year. As at the reporting date, the  Group' s current liabilities exceeded its current assets by S$46.3 million  (31 March 2024: net current assets: $33.9 million).

In assessing the Group' s ability to continue as a going concern until 31 March 2026, the Board has carefully reviewed the Group' s financial position, including current and projected cash flows, creditors' claims, and available financing options.

The Board notes that  there are inherent uncertainties  in this assessment, including the outcome of ongoing capital-raising efforts, the timing and success of negotiations with creditors, and the performance of key business segments such as content, cinema, and live events. These factors represent  material uncertainties  that may cast significant doubt on the Group' s ability to continue as a going concern.

It is better to let oethers running as the current fleet of busses are mostly petrol/diesel bases,
many with extreme noise polution .
Singaporean should be happy with a quiter Electrical busses and smooth ride and clean air.

Infuture, more AV busses will ply Singapoe and thouse with old technology will be out.
Weride with investor like grabs, Nvidia will be Singapore market.
SBS? with so any directors and management team, if not improve and make better life for
Singaporean and commuters and never get support..
