If take over say 1 month before XD, most likely Offer Price is Lump Sum All In Price Per Share and thus investors will not receive the dvidends.

Thus tendency for UE to receive Offers from interested parties before XD very high.

If takeover still can get dividend or not?

huangyuanhe      ( Date: 15-Mar-2017 14:31) Posted:

I just bought 12 lot of United Engineers ($2.87 per Share).

Reasons : It is within Bargain Zone now,

1. United Engineers have sold non-property assets to become a " pure property play"

2. NAV : $3.06 Per Share

3. 12 Cents Dividends (5 + 7 Special) per Share (XD May)

4. Policy makers seem to be gradually relaxing property measures (as seen last Friday policy changes)

5. OCBC & GE will want to cash out , thus triggering a Take Over Bid.

A lot of investors are cheering this on. Especially Singaporeans in the business and corporate.

GLP current status now is like Joseph Schooling in the 2016 Olympic100 M Butterfly Finals.

We all hope GLP deal will be a success with a fair and good offer, just lile we all hope Joseph Schooling will win the 100M Butterfly Olympic Gold.

This could be potentially, a Asia Record Breaking Buyout M & A Offer. (Surpassing Qihoo 360).

This will put Singapore in the spotlight, boost our global financial center status, and invite more listings and financial institutions to set up shops here.

Good for Singapore economy as a whole.

I am supporting this thus I invested a bit (30 lot) just like how I woke up early to suppport Joseph Schooling with the Olympic Final swim.

Singapore all the best !  smiley  yes

Looks like strong buying.

May surge above $2.80 per share soon.

1. those short term holders will take profit

2. and chance for those who want to accumulate

I didnt invest much on GLP. Just 30 lot to hold for the outcome.

Just had a group chat with my retail investors group. They pointed out one important key point :

One of the bidding parties is a "management" buy out consortium. CEO is considered as management buy out right ?

Looking for value I believe.

I am targeting F & B stocks now.
The Asia Food Chain Supply is very important to this part of the world.

North Asia <- -> SE Asia <--> Australia NZ food supply chain and connection

E.g. China supplies garlic to SE Asia, Philippines supply bananas and tunas to the region including Japan, and Australia export diary products and meat as well as seafood to the rest of Asia. Japan, Taiwan manufacturing the instant noodles.

Food Industry in Asia is going to be a big economical growth engine.

Yup. I can relate to your observations. It does appear a no.of significantly "undervalued" companies (B Semb, Sing Holdings, now HF) are being accumulated. Interesting to see if this is start of a new valuation range or another temporary market action.

Nowadays we posted questions here nobody replies to our posts.

I think funds looking for "under valued" stocks. Hong Fok under valued for a long time.

If you free, take a look at QAF. It is like A buying from A or A selling to A. Very unusual

Wonder what is going on at Hong Fok. Quite an uncommon price spike in a day. Don't see any news. The privatisation story did not do much in the past. Something amiss?

Look out for BreadTalk and QAF.

Something "unusual" about the price movememt of QAF. Usually, the company will want to let the price go up. But after observing it closely, they seem to "resist" price up. Why ?

huangyuanhe      ( Date: 08-Mar-2017 15:00) Posted:

I am targeting these stocks after much consideration :

BreadTalk (Singapore, HK, China)

Food Empire (Eastern Europe, Mongolia, China)

QAF (Australia, Spore, Malaysia, Philippines, China markets)

ThaiBev (Asean markets)

Reasons : Regional Expansion & Growth

Vested 35 lots at $1.29 per share in Auric Pacific. Going to accept the Offer.

Only left a few listed F & B companies to invest here in the future.

I only buy profitable stocks, preferably proven records for the past consecutive 3 years.

I just bought 30 lot at 2.68 per share as I think the chances of a good offer is there. (moreover, NAV is about $2.85 ~ $3 per share)

No contra for me. Just vested and hold for the results.

Wish me good luck  smiley
