Besides, the Treasury Shares bought were not cancelled but were recycled again into the market for shareholders opted for shares instead of cash payment. The float is not reduced significantly, but most of the shareholders are holding for long term, The only problem is the dividend payable is getting lesser each year.

Most Glove counters dropped due to sentiment and out of favor.
Results out will revive interests i believe.
All trading at extreme low PEs of about 2 times.
Historical PE was about 12 to 15 times.
Most companies cleared their debts and turned net cash companies.. Check it out!

Kena pummeled from 1.69 on 2 Sep to 1.38 on 1 Oct. 18% drop, is bad enough already.
October may have more nasty surprises in store. Steel also high at 5800 RMB/ton. 1.3x range is very low, but this stock if got bad news can drop like stone very fast on high volume. So beware.
Likewise, need some good news or conclusions on China prop/regulatory/power front to remove uncertainty and BBs can push up stock again.

1) Still holding on to opened shorts lower than current pricing.
2) Missed the low entry point to buy.
Those who talk up the prices are:
1) Vested in opened longs at current or lower pricing.
2) Missed the highest prices to short this counter.

Agreed. It was a pump and dump case. In the initial stage of the pandemic, all the PPE manufactureres were caught with sudden surge of demands and supplies were short and drove up the prices just like the masks. As this PPEs don' t need highend technologies to produce, more and more manufacturers join in the game to take a bite of the cake other than the bigger ones beef up the capacity. Now the demands are met and the glove prices are stablized. The prices will drop if the gloves are over produced. Other than PPEs, the same is observed in the trending of Sheng Siong

Riverstone was a nobody before COVID-19.
This stock came to life only becoz it was targeted for PUMP & DUMP.
Going forward, demand for gloves will go downhill and Average Selling Prices will dip very quickly too.
Just look at the price of a box of masks at the peak and the price of a box of masks today.
I saw at a shop... a box of 50 masks selling at $2.95 only and if you think that is already a damn low price, here' s another
surprise for you - BUY 1 GET 1 FREE some more !!!
The days of supernormal profits for glove makers are over. Going forward, they will have to deal with excess capacity. And write-offs.
My own take is Riverstone is heading back to where she came from - her pre-COVID-19 days. |
