CEO also implied that the sg cash pile wld not be used for jepun ir if won - he said they wld borrow in yen where the borrowing cost is extremely low.  What helps is the extremely loose monetary policy being deployed by the BOJ which is not likely to change anytime soon.

Yes, the existing cash of 3.6B will be used but will not be enough.
The shortfall they will borrow in Japan, to capitalise on the extremely low interest rate there.
Chairman Lim said not getting from us. So no diluting of our holding |

I believe the casino aspect is still doing OK.  Maybe not booming but still very profitable.  Doesn' t mean some of us don' t catch a mob there, it' s the end of the world.  Pt is, ghost town still clock 200 mil in profits.  If big crowds means what?  600 mil profit/qtr?

I don't believe in gambling and don't visit casinos. I am banking more on the other leisure aspect of their business which I think will do well. From what you are sharing, I can only guess your stock holding run into the millions, I am not there yet. My current free spending cash to invest enough for one 3 bedroom condo in the heartlands only.

Maybe within this one month the tide changed!
Historically, Genting price never go below 70 cents.
Not after the opening of RWS in 2010!
Before that yes, 30 over cents in fact. |

To me, ' tis a very good stock for long term investment.  Div reduction in short term is ok for longer term stability n gain.  I do believe though that they' d strive to keep up the div as much as possible.

My own sense is they are already getting out of the woods .... gradual though the process may be.  Some new businesses will have a long gestation period n make losses initially.  But longer term it shd lay the foundation for better times notwithstanding the very tough competitive env.

Cannot say.  It' d be a fair tendering process.  But GS with it' s experience in SG, with exacting requirements to put up barriers (in whatever form) to discourage the locals from falling into gambling addiction might just have an dege in its proposals.

The non-disclosure itself is already something wrong.  If u don' t think so it' s OK.  Have it how u like it.

| Barking at the wrong tree.. proving that the boss of ChangSha has a relationship with BWL is just an indication that there is a conflict of interest doing such business but the interested parties must also show evidences that such conflict of interest has infringed certain laws and regulations   for example,  there are false statements or declarations made in the business dealings.  |

Now PWC maybe more tu lan.  Without the short sellers' help, they might just have given an unblemmished review.  So, what will happen to the PWC review now?  Also, now BWL sues whom?  Will any litigation stand up to any scrutiny on the coy itself after this enforced disclosure?

Directors' Duties in Singapore
http://singaporelegaladvice.com/law-articles/directors-duties-in-singapore/
By law, the management of a company is vested in the board of directors (which the CEO is usually part of), under section 157A of the Companies Act (CA).
Although day-to-day management may be delegated to executives, there are still business decisions that directors have to make in accordance with their duties under the law.
Otherwise, they may face civil liability in a lawsuit, criminal penalties and/or be subject to removal from the company.

So, BWI' s business transactions with the primary import agent are clearly ' interested-person' transactions n BWI knows, or ought to know, this.  It' s hard to construe it otherwise than a deliberate avoidance of disclosing disclosable information by a public listed coy to shareholders n potential investors.
