ceo of smm has to answer why no contract win until now and how he nego this deal.
like other that commented china, korea did it in the interest of their country.
no wonder investors are questioning/ having doubts in their good faith as the major shareholder of the company.

actually when i entered at 13c, i thought they are doing for the good of smm. it is horrible to cobble a deal and said it is for the good of smm.
something is wrong. if they are the major sh of smm, then they are not doing what is right.

i would want to agree with you. but no lei
sequence of events
last friday was a complete selldown by shortists/raiders. i read quite a no of report share plunged, oversold and so forth.
when monday morning the raiders continue in their attack, that' s when the announcement was done at 12.25pm (lunch hour).
the market pulled back and closed at 13.3c. took me whole of last night to read and understand what is happening.
as such lobster' s comments is astute and his reply to abe is adamant.

as i said spent the whole of last night reading all the good, bad and ugly comments.
don' t do rubbish to others. temasek has made it clear, the rights must go thru to the other side.
if i rmb correctly temasek took a controlling stake in olam to fend off attacks from someone who shorted big time.
still think lobster is balance with his comments.
today vol is low. q at 13c left with 2m+ should be getting it

if i have not painstaking go thru all the comments, i won' t buy at 13c. no way
it was because my stake in kc, heard there was announcement yeaterday by temasek, then i try to understand what it going on.
if temasek has not made the announcement, agreed with what you said, don' t even touch.
lobster, is not saying there won' t be issue but this rights issue is definitely going over to the other side.
with the money raise, smm can stay in the fight.
vested 13c and plus my free jv shares. will go for the rights
if i got my sum correct, my ave is 6c.

I would say the signs and perception of the public is that it is going to be a complete takeover.
But it won' t be exactly. It will be a takeover OFFER, not an unconditional takeover.
don' t expect temasek to take the company private, and run it itself.
as I said, Temasek will want to keep the company listed, and so along the way, it will set the situation as such.
Expect all kinds of peculiar actions, you won' t know exactly their moves.
but one thing is for sure, it will not let the price gets too near the issue price. In fact anything below 50% of issue price
which is 4 cents will be deemed as unattractive and failing
So, tomorrow if the price goes green against today' s closing, it will proves my theory is 100% spot on.
from there on, a lot of cat and mouse games between the pessimists and the longists
As I often said, the black market is never wrong on such speculation.

after much thought. the price now is at huge discount. q for 13c small amt.
follow my heart after reading all the comments. some just want others to sell.
lobster is more balance and insightful. those who not sure what i am saying can go to his comments
this is just mho after spending whole of last night reading the comments

here is very confusing. going thru the chats make me headache.
one said wait for 10c, another said after xr
latest anouncement means thatr temasek will takeover smm but of course many hurdles.
before they do all these they need the rights to be successful.
someone mentioned terp 0.124
lobster is correct, temasek won' t allow the price go too low. clearly temasek just threw in a spanner in the market and cause soem ripple effects. y2jchris said why wait 10c
walau so confusing. maybe i should buy some since it is so cheap now plus my free jv shares.
thinking if it makes complete good sense
