conglomerate has serviced its purpose consists of different and distinct biz. scm came a long way and is now demerged more than 3 months, as an entity on its own.
it is keppel corp looking to divest keppel o& g which is a right thing to do. kudos to temasek
of course, it is a big win for both to merger as one - horizontal merger
since you are not seeing the bigger pic, good that you exit.

The merger is not a confirmed thing. We are all just hoping for it. I decided to cut loss already. What if the merger dont happen? Money would only be stuck there until a year or 2 later till they possibly recover.

If merger is on then good ah. But is it confirmed? No. We are only hoping. I exited the boat. Good luck guys.

abe8888, looking at the selldown today 66,000,000 and not the vol transacted, would push the sell short volume beyond 100,000,000.

I feel there was a huge effort (Short Volume was 74M out of total volume of 312,888,000) to keep the price down.

short sell volume is at all time high.

heard some unhappy fellows are bringing the matter up. no other houses made such an erroneous call.
don' t think he can simply walk away after making a call like that.
now they are looking into the report. let him go and explain whether future or whatever facts.
if you said fake news is bad, this kind of erroneous report is also not acceptable.
otherwise everyday got counter being sold down because a reputable coy anaylst gave a wrong figure.
let' s see what the authority has to say

It is, however, very painful to see the light at the end of the tunnel getting diminished again and again..

I googled " market manipulations wash trading sgx mas" and read that wash trades are illegal and SGX and MAS frown on them and has detection tools which are hopefully not broken and the operators not sloppy!

May I speculate that yesterday there was some washing done as the volume was too high (with just the issue of an erroneous report).

Wash trading or LEFT hand sell to RIGHT hand is happening in all stock markets and in most actively traded stocks.

Not illegal for A to sell to B and B to sell back to A unless they are the same entity.

Even if they are the same entity, they cover their tracks well so It is almost impossible to prove. That' s why MAS or SGX will not waste their energy on this.

For all investors and speculators, we have to accept that manipulation is always part of the game.

And small astute investors are not at a disadvantage buit rather at an advantage because of all these manipoulatiuve activities. The more manipulation, the more opportunities

if figures are correct ... that is their judgment call however if a wrong figure leading to an erroneous call, they should make good their mistake.
otherwise any analysts are not accountable for what they said ??? fake news

dec sale from 17.7c, now discount 17% selling at 14.7c
this morning is accumulation, discount will reduce as it moves along after that 15c ..... news is on the way.
4 days left before new year celebration.
don' t wait till 20c then you want to buy ???

liquidity is good and their existing contracts are intact.
