Leongsan, you may want to show when and how you have extracted the figure.

As of 13 December 2013 Annual Report, Pacific Andes did not have 16,538,074 which is 0.81%. Please take a look at the report. Thanks

Apparently, it is from SGX .... see what EZ has posted.

My understanding it has to be above 5% before they have to make the announcement.

They have been accumulation while the rest are selling.

Can be found on SGX site. Curious when JMS said take a look who are the top 5 owners. At first thought what is the no big deal about Global Thematic Partners. Interesting to know what is Thematic Investment ... something new to me. Will wait for further downside / opportunity before going in.
Top 5 owners by shares held Number of shares held Percent of shares held
Super Investment Ltd 1,426,432,850 69.71%
The Carlyle Group LP 227,027,028 11.09%
Global Thematic Partners, LLC 51,825,124 2.53%
Pacific Andes International Holdings Ltd. 16,538,074 0.81%
Nomura Holdings Inc, Securities & Investment Arm 16,242,624 0.79%

Haha ... now you know. There is another piece of info that you missed out.

Super Investment, Calyle Group, Nomura holdings no change 69.71%, 11.09 and 0.79% respectively.

The change is Global Thematic 2.53% and Pacific Andes 0.81% from " 0" . The float is going to be even lesser, together they hold 84.93%.

Ez, you should consider buying .... Equilibrium is Positive

Ez, you are right. As you have posted, Global Thematic Partners, uses thematic investment, a powerful approach that have been refined over many years. They do thorough and independent research with risk management to seek long-term value creation for their clients

In general, Thematic Investing is considered to mean a top-down investment approach with a focus on broader, macroeconomic themes that a fund manager can use to identify strong companies.

They have increased their holding and is the 3 largest owner after Carlyle Group.

Still maintain, Equilibrium is positive.

EZ, is right .. heavy downpour this morning. Relax and take it EZzzzz.

Equilibrium is Positive .... Bulls kicked the legs out of this week' s bear run on stocks, and the " dip buyers" could keep coming in even though the selloff may not be over.

Look at the statistic. they only show Precipitation. NO. oh really ... they have Humidity and Wind.

SP, you have missed the BIG number : Temperature Lima, Peru is 16*c   while KL is 27*c and don' t forget the Wind, Peru is 19 km/h while KL is merely 6km/h

Can you take a look at the chart it is heading down ?

Equilibrium is Positive

Agreed with S69, don' t look at the short term. Ezzz look for the trends and what is happening .... There is still demand for wild fish and the ocean is only capable of supplying that much .... Price will keep on going higher and higher.

Lafayette has been renamed Damanzaiho. Forget about what kicked out of Russian. They exit from there ... Thankfully .... Now even the Russia' s biggest bank, Sberbank also moving East.

Look for the Equilibrium which is POSITIVE. Else you will TKK .... Groggy ....

Relax like you said take it ez .....

Just watch as the fish transform ... it should improve the company profitability. Management is working on the intregration and operation of CF.

Equilibrium is positive.

Stockpicker, the former management already knew that Copeinca is a valuable asset. Copeinca majority owned by the Dyer-Coriat family fight tooth and nail to resist the takeover. They have no choice, finally being acquired by China Fishery

Peru' s Copeinca hires UBS after China Fishery bid

(Reuters) - Copeinca, Peru' s No. 2 fish exporter, said on Monday it has hired a team of financial advisors to " explore alternatives" after it received a $556 million unsolicited buyout bid from China  Fishery Group

Two of Copeinca' s controlling shareholders rejected the bid in February, though third said it would be considered. Smaller retail  investors could still accept the offer.

UBS, DNB Markets  and Carnegie will advise the Peruvian company on its options.

Peru is the world' s top exporter of fishmeal and each year brings in about $1.8 billion in export receipts. Its rich seas are increasingly coveted by multinational companies, even as the government takes steps to curb signs of overfishing.

After seeing all the posts, found the article that SK have mentioned. We should enjoy the Equilibrium is positive. Yes, it is by Bloomberg L.P.  is a privately held financial software, data and media company headquartered in  New York City.

Let me help to put things in perspective. Personally don' t think Bloomberg will simply put up the figures, afterall they provide financial software tools such as an analytics and equity trading platform, data services and news to financial companies and organizations.

What could be really wrong and glaring is TIME ? One is 2013 and the other is end of 2014

With some $2.5 billion of assets at the end of March 2014, Copeinca accounted for at least 90 percent of the group' s total assets and earnings, company filings show.

Stockpicker " Luckily,  can still find Copeinca' s financial statement for Dec 13"

The last 2Q financial reports show Copeinca has brought in huge profits for the company which is also stated " Copeinca accounted for at least 90 percent of the group' s total assets and earnings, company filings show."

This is very significant US$1.5B grew to US$2.5B and the Banks knew it .... cheers

China Fishery Takes Extra Month to Win Copeinca Bondholder Deal

By Christine Jenkins and David Yong    Aug 22, 2014 3:58 AM GMT+0800

Anchovy Quota

China Fishery officials didn' t immediately return e-mails and calls made outside of working hours for the Singapore-listed group. Calls to Copeinca' s main number weren' t answered.

China Fishery spent more than $782 million taking over Copeinca last year, giving it control of the biggest anchovy quota-holder in  Peru  and the world' s third-largest fishmeal producer. The purchase was partly funded by loans that lenders now say must be guaranteed by Copeinca, according to S& P.

With some $2.5 billion of assets at the end of March, Copeinca accounted for at least 90 percent of the group' s total assets and earnings, company filings show.

" That' s a lot of additional debt for Copeinca bondholders to share with other group creditors," Charles Macgregor, the Singapore-based head of  Asia  at Lucror Analytics Pte, an independent credit-research company, said before the extension was announced. " This is a credit that continues to surprise on the downside."

U.S. stocks rose on Tuesday, lifting the Dow to an all-time high and the S& P 500 to another record above 2,000, after better-than-expected reports -- including a jump in orders for durable goods -- cast favorable light on the U.S. economy.

" A few of the economic indicators have been pretty solid, which flows through to corporate profit," said Cameron Hinds, regional chief investment officer for Wells Fargo Private Bank in Lincoln, Neb.

" We' ve had a heck of a run, it' s been over three years since we' ve had a 10 percent correctio," Hinds said.

Can I say this is a buying opportunity ? When the company has consolidated the operation and business is bringing in profits and not lost.

When funds are coming back, El Niñ o issue has subsided, price of fishmeal is going up .....

I remembered Fitch said this will not affect the rating. I am sure, they have peered into their account and latest quarter, net profits is healthy after factoring the finance costs.

is it interesting how this exercise got blown out of proportion ....

SLPY, talking about that they actually serve them legal to the shareholders who did not want to transfer their shares to them.

So this solicitation exercise is bit wayang in my opinion. Those that have consented should have been paid the consent fee and settle them. Hence reduce the number bondholders. Once the base is reduced they do not have much negotiation power.

Like I said, it is whether they want or not. Banks are behind them.

That' s this whole exercise is a sheer waste of time and play up when it is not necessary.. Why I said that ? BECAUSE the most difficult task is achieved and this nothing. In case you said what difficult task ..... ACQUISITION OF COPEINCA ..... THEY ARE FIGHTING WITH THE SHARKS AND THEY HAVE EMERGED A CHAMPION.

Exactly. It is as if they just realized, O I have to pay the early redemption penalty for the bonds.

Nothing new, same goes for the credit facilities for the refinancing, they sensationalized the whole matters after all, the same banks were the one to finance the acquisition of Copeinca. Already heard they have obtained the loan but news went on and on.

The loan is so huge that the banks want them to live .... Please continue paying the interest .... la

Finally announced we have secured the loan. The rest is history. Hahaha

Annisa Lee, a credit analyst in Hong Kong at Nomura Holdings Inc., said by phone on Aug. 20. &ldquo The other alternative is for them to call the Copeinca bonds.&rdquo

She did not want to state the obvious, instead said " the other alternative ....   Haiz they are playing their game.

Kao recommends China Fishery bonds because cash flow may improve given the company is getting $242 million in refunds from suppliers. The El Nino weather impact on fish catches is also receding, he said.

China Fishery said in a March 24 statement it had decided not to renew a long-term supply agreement and terminate three others. Under the deal, about $80 million was returned to the company at the end of April and another $162 million will be returned by March 2016, " either in kind as fish or, if mutually agreed, in cash.
