UOB' s last technical forecast made 4 weeks ago was for SCI to break downwards to $4.22 which never materialised. It went in the opposite direction instead. Now they are getting technically bullish.

I believe this time they could be proven correct as SCI does look stronger by the day and ready for a sprint.

Trading buy range: S$5.08-5.09 Last price: S$5.09
Target price: S$5.62
Protective stop: S$4.94

Price is currently consolidating within a pennant continuation pattern. Conversion and base lines remain in a bullish crossover. The MACD is bullish with both of its lines above the zero line. These could increase chances of the stock price continuing to move higher.

We see increasing odds of stock price testing S$5.62. A stop could be placed at S$4.94.

Approximate timeframe on average: 1-2 weeks (initiate this trade idea if the stock hits the entry price range within three trading days)

Our institutional research has a fundamental BUY and target price of S$7.20.

AUSTRALIA&rsquo S second-largest telco, Optus, had no crisis plan when a network-wide outage left nearly half the country without phone or Internet services for 12 hours, an executive told parliament on Friday (Nov 17), acknowledging the company&rsquo s defences had failed.

The Singtel-owned company had recently war-gamed scenarios in which the routers that directed voice and Internet data failed in entire states, but it never expected a nationwide shutdown because it had alternate connections built into its network.

Optus managing director of networks Lambo Kanagaratnam told a Senate hearing: &ldquo We didn&rsquo t have a plan in place for that specific scale of outage.&rdquo He was referring to the Nov 8 failure that left much of the country unable to make payments, receive healthcare or contact emergency services for most of a day.

The public tender for the conserved Bukit Timah Fire Station (BTFS) at 260 Upper  Bukit Timah Road  conducted by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) closed on Oct 18  with nine bids. The highest bid came from local construction company Huationg Global, which submitted $98,000 a month  or $1.176 million in annual rent.
The second highest bid of $76,595 monthly rent came from Stalford Academy, which manages 30 Stalford learning centres and affiliates across Singapore. (Unquote)

I am quite long on this counter. But among the worst performance in my holdings. Was sitting on a 200k profit awhile back but vaporised in short order. Hope can turn around by next May.
