now there is some talk by some aus telco verteran that sintel sell optus. if singtel can sell to a buyer willing to pay more then singtel pay. why not? telco business earn money slowly. any inflow of money can be used to pay off all debts with cash balance. good interest rate will ensure good dividends in the years ahead. invest more into ncs better then the infra business. pay a lot to build but collect little little. better put extra cash in microsoft. so still think singtel bearish. in this period sure. future unknown. in other developments, some people might have just blindly follow warrant company selling to hold more cash. but is a bit too late again. really those move does not look like sage move but his now and future management. not the same any more. |

something wrong short sell data sgx posted today 21 nov has no transactions. maybe the bb sell so much of the index heavy weight to stop their index losses that it crash the auto loading ? |

I can understand the feeling for all those in this counter.....years without seeing $3 . Another new low of 2.25 now ....w yet major issue in Optus not resolved ( and no CEO ) ....is this not a management issue ? ( w NO crisis plan ?) for the benefit of someone here ....Investing in good asset and sell off w a good profit is good . ( AND know how to reinvest the $$) Great example is Kep corp . But to sell asset at a lost or low margins ( and have to rent them back like some towers etc ) at best this is to show he is working .LOL What true good investment has Singtel done and sold ( mayb Net link I can recall ) . DYODD ....episode is not over . ( Aus govn is still looking at it ) |

Singtel shares hit 52-week low of S$2.28 after Optus CEO departure
SHARES of Singtel : Z74 -0.86% shed as much as 2.1 per cent on Monday (Nov 20) after the telco announced that Australian subsidiary Optus&rsquo s chief executive Kelly Bayer Rosmarin has tendered her resignation.
Shares of the company fell S$0.05 to a 52-week low of S$2.28 as at 1.12pm, before recovering to S$2.30 by 4.30 pm.
By 3.20pm, Singtel was the second-most traded counter by volume after 32.4 million shares worth S$74.5 million changed hands. Its shares stood at S$2.29, down 1.7 per cent or S$0.04.
In a bourse filing, the company said that chief financial officer Michael Venter will assume the role of interim chief executive as the search for a new chief begins.
Former StarHub chief executive Peter Kaliaropoulos will be appointed chief operating officer. He was previously Optus&rsquo business managing director and will report to Venter when he rejoins the company on Nov 22.
Rosmarin faced a Senate inquiry on Friday, where she elaborated on the cause of a massive network outage that left over 10 million customers without phone or Internet services on Nov 8.

One see bear still regurgitating Optus event when it is over. Most wait for a as lap from their gov body. They need to talk down cause their working stock kena bought by retailer and share buy back. So die die must put sell q to hold down try buy back. Bull buy little bit within means as they hold it low. When fund reevaluate the higher dividend. Real buy force in bear no choice but to buy higher . Buy already must be able to hold . | ||||

gd afternoon~~ haa haa so now you have some shares bought at 2.27 / 2.28 gd gd gd. It is strange, although we have some bro here who felt that SickTel got nother better to do than selling assest to stay afloat, but to be honest - it is these assest that was accumulated many years back that now reapping rewards. Imagine now if SickTel does not have these assest sold that is contributing to its bottem line, the situation could be worst. And the pricing falling have not been justify by any major market event (ok ok... we have some trouble in AU but it is still a one-off event mah), unlike Covid we seen 2 years back. Cannot denial comments about mangement change in SickTel. Probably is needed, but could be double edge sword right? Skally go hire Anei haa haaa... then say have to change again. haa haa...
