You should watch the video. The Equinor project managers are all so positive and full of praises for SCM.
" What is special about Johan Castberg project is that despite the substantial challenges, the work environment is the best I have experienced for projects. I really enjoy working here" . Straight from the horses' mouth.

Transocean' s 8th-gen Deepwater Titan Drillship Completes Drydocking in Singapore
February 16, 2022

Offshore drilling contractor Transocean has said this week that its eighth-generation Deepwater Titan drillship has completed drydocking in Singapore.
The Deepwater Titan is Transocean' s first 20,000 psi ultra-deepwater drillship, and will, once delivered, be used by Chevron in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.
Transocean shared the drydocking completion milestone via social media, along with the drillship photo, saying: " Wonderful teamwork on display as Transocean, Sembcorp Marine Ltd, and Chevron celebrate the completion of the Deepwater Titan drydocking in Singapore. We&rsquo re looking forward to the next phase of the project and getting this beautiful new 8th-generation drillship ship out to sea. Great job, team!"

Transocean has previously said it will be the first company to own an ultra-deepwater floater rated for 20,000 psi operations, the Deepwater Titan.
The offshore drilling firm ordered two rigs, eventually named the Deepwater Titan and the Deepwater Atlas, from Sembcorp Marine' s Jurong Shipyard in 2014 with plans for rig deliveries in 2Q 2017 and 1Q 2018, respectively.
After several delays, the company, on December 31, 2018, announced it had secured a rig design and construction management contract, as well as a five-year drilling contract, with Chevron, for what is now known as the Deepwater Titan.
The contract called for significant upgrades on the rig, including two 20,000 pounds per square inch blowout preventers. National Oilwell Varco (now known simply as NOV) in 2019 sold two 20,000-psi (20K) blowout preventer (BOP) stacks to Transocean, expected, at the time, to be deployed on a Gulf of Mexico well in 2021.
And, indeed, the Deepwater Titan had been expected to start working for Chevron on its $455,000 a day deal in 2021. In July 2020, Transocean said the rig would start drilling for Chevron in the fourth quarter of 2021.
In June 2021, Sembcorp Marine and Transocean agreed to revise the delivery dates of the two ultra-deepwater drillships, taking into consideration work disruptions arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Titan' s start-up date has been delayed a couple of times again, to 1H 2022, then to 2H 2022, and, as per the latest fleet status update, the Deepwater Titan is now expected to debut in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico in the first quarter of 2023. The rig is expected to stay with Chevron until the first quarter of 2028.

UK field development shackles could be loosened
Feb. 9, 2022
Britain&rsquo s government could approve development plans for six oil and gas fields in the North Sea area, according to the Daily Telegraph.

LONDON  &ndash   Britain&rsquo s government could approve development plans for six oil and gas fields in the North Sea area, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The national newspaper&rsquo s list of projects is headed by the Equinor-operated  Rosebank west of Shetland, which if confirmed would be the UK&rsquo s deepest water development to date. Four others in the central North Sea are Shell&rsquo s HP/HT  Jackdaw gas field project  (last year the Oil and Gas Authority vetoed Shell&rsquo s request for a tieback to its Shearwater complex) Anasuria Hibiscus&rsquo   Marigold cluster further development of the  Harbour Energy-operated Catcher Area and Brodick. Finally, Harbour&rsquo s Tolmount East gas development &ndash production has yet to start at the host Tolmount field facilities.
UK Chancellor Rishi Sunak has asked Business Secretary to fast-track the approval process, the Telegraph added, due to growing concerns over the economic impact of moving too quickly on net-zero emissions targets, with Europe-wide gas shortages causing prices of gas to increase for domestic UK consumers.

Combined gas reserves associated with the six projects would cover the UK&rsquo s entire power needs over six months, the report claimed.
Only one minor project in UK waters &ndash the  Evelyn/Gannet tiebacks  to the Triton FPSO &ndash secured approval last year, and there have been growing calls from opposition parties for the government to impose a  windfall tax on offshore oil and gas companies  &ndash reinforced by bp&rsquo s announcement today of full-year profits totalling $7.565 billion (its reduction of its net debt to $30.6 billion at year-end was not mentioned by politicians).
Last year, Shell paused investment in the  Cambo oil and gas project  west of Shetland, which was also expected to proceed, following persistent pressure from environmental groups and Scotland&rsquo s own government.
If the new developments do go ahead, and the current energy crisis persists, more project approvals could follow over the next few years. The Telegraph quoted a government source as warning that calls to end UK oil and gas production altogether would only lead to Britain importing more from other countries with &ldquo dubious records,&rdquo at the same time destroying 200,000 jobs within the industry.

Cambo
One of the more keenly watched FPSO contracts in the pipeline is for the Cambo project, west of Shetland.Much controversy has raged about the field and in December,    Shell opted to pull out of the scheme,  with operator Siccar Point energy    putting it on hold  a few days later.
Despite the ongoing pause to the project,    Rystad Energy  has still speculated that a deal to manufacture the FPSO for Cambo    could be handed out in 2022.

An artist' s impression of the Cambo FPSO.
Siccar Point is & ldquo likely& rdquo to sign off a letter of intent with Sevan SSP, of Norway, for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the vessel this year, according to the analyst' s sources.
Given Sevan SSP FPSO designs are circular hull designs and are more suitable for harsh environments like the North Sea and their ability to host power from shore cables (electrification) which helps to reduce the overall carbon footprint of an oil & gas field might give these units a competitive advantage for redeployment.

It is a desperate attempt by Shortist to shout to existing SCM shareholders " Look here! I am giving you 0.2 cents more for your SCM shares. Sell to me now quick before it drops back! Quick!"
The real SCM supporters with deep pockets are likely still bidding their time to attack when the news flow turn sharply positive. Or waiting for Temasek to give the " go get them!" signal.

Given that ship owners are willing to pay much more now to extend the shelf life of their fleets in the greenest possible way, Sembmarine is doing well for their repair biz with their green technology and 3D printing capability.

Upstream 4th Feb 2022:
FID in sight: Dorado JV partners pushing oil project forward
FID is planned for the first half this year for large Australian offshore field.
Looks like the Darodo FPSO new build contract would be confirmed in the 2-3 months' time. Estimated to be worth about $1.1 to 1.5billion for Sembmarine.
So now, Adrian Loh is very bullish on SCM and he might well be proven right once again.
