Anyhows Yongnam is in the right sector ripe for a cheong. Look at how Lian Beng, Chip Eng Seng and Tat Hong are moving up! Construction counters are the next sexy sector to look at.

Yongnam now got dividend yield of > 2.5%, got many potential infrastructure projects in the pipeline, got Myanmar airport tender potential....got future HSR potential, and currently at very cheap price (current price @ 23cts viz a viz last year Apr 2013 @ 31cts) what' s there not to like?

All these talk about HSR is just going to benefit construction counters. But not those construction companies that are in involved solely in building residential buildings but rather those which are involved in soil analysis, foundation piling, steel strutting, crane rentals.... i.e. those that are heavily involved in transport infrastructure.

Can check which companies are regularly awarded contracts for LTA roadworks and MRT tunnels and you will know thumbs up

Still holds true. Yongnam is a dark horse full of unrealised potential - and it will defintiely surprise on the upside when more contract wins are announced, and I am eagerly anticipating a gem of a Myanmar airport tender win

Yongnam: Secures S$54.3 Million Worth Of Subcontracts In Singapore.

Yongnam Engineering & Construction Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yongnam Holdings Limited, is pleased to announce that it has secured S$54.3 million worth of subcontracts, involving more than 10,000 tonnes of structural steelwork.

In the first subcontract, Takenaka Corporation awarded Yongnam a subcontract for structural steelwork at the upcoming Changi International Airport Terminal 4.

For the second subcontract, Samsung C& T Corporation awarded Yongnam the structural steel subcontract in the redevelopment of the UIC Building along Shenton Way, Singapore.

Well said! These market players intentionally depress Yongnam's price now to scare folks into selling - before they themselves pick up cheaply, and then sending prices soaring over 40cts when the announcements are out later this year.

I think they want to award to Yongnam this time round. But they scare scare to Yongnam squeeze them since the first tenderer didn't make it. So Myanmar DCA wayang wayang a bit first lah by inviting others to re-tender as well.
