DBS Group Research / 10 Aug 2018: BUY TP reduced to S$ 0.21 based on a lower target multiple of 1.0x on FY18 book value (vs 1.4x previously), given the slower than-expected ramp up in utilisation and revenue. We now expect losses to narrow in 2H18 and move back into the black in 2019. Nevertheless, we hold on to our belief that Ezion is poised to re-rate, catalysed by: i) improving utilisation and day rates driving an earnings recovery and ii) strategic partnership with China Merchant Group which brightens growth prospects. |

Ezion Holdings on Thursday entered into an agreement with a subsidiary of TSC Group Holdings to jointly own and operate liftboats through a joint venture (JV) vehicle, Renergy Offshore. TSC and Ezion own 51 per cent and 49 per cent of Renergy, respectively. In a filing with the Singapore Exchange, Ezion said that TSC will help Renergy to obtain the capital required for the acquisition of new liftboats and working capital. Meanwhile, Ezion will assist Renergy in the marketing and operations of the liftboats. Ezion added that Renergy has an issued and paid-up capital of S$100. Renergy intends to increase its issued and paid-up capital to about US$4 million. TSC Group is about 52 per cent indirectly-owned by China Merchants & Great Wall Ocean Strategy & Technology Fund. |

OFFSHORE and marine company Ezion Holdings on Tuesday said it has entered into loan agreements with all secured lenders pursuant to its refinancing exercise, and the extension of additional working capital of up to US$118 million. In addition, the issue of its proposed warrants to secured lenders and TLF (term loan facility) consent shares have also been completed on July 2. The loan agreements to its secured lenders provide for minimal fixed principal repayments over a six-year refinancing period, as well as a reduction of interest rate. According to the agreements, the company undertakes that there will be no change to the firm' s CEO without prior written consent of the secured lenders. Will Ezion surge like Noble today? |

Oil prices soared Friday as a divided OPEC came together and agreed to modest production increases, providing a lift to a Houston and U.S energy industry seeking healthy crude prices and market stability. The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries agreed on paper to boost output by 1 million barrels a day, but the amount of oil coming onto the market is unlikely to exceed 700,000 barrels a day because several OPEC members, such as Venezuela, Libya and Angola, are struggling with internal conflicts, while Iran&rsquo s exports will be limited by U.S. sanctions, analysts said. At the same time, global oil inventories have fallen below average levels for the first time in four years, and the International Energy Agency projects worldwide oil demand to grow this year by 1.4 million barrels a day.
