Frankly it's not so easy to dislodge incumbents in their home turf. Will depend on how deep their pockets are and how Long they are willing to bleed. Remember Virgin Mobile in Singapore?

You' re right. they' re coming in to reciprocate Singtel' s competition in their turf as Optus. Happens very often among multi-geographic competitors. It' s only strategic to do so.More competition is definitely welcome by consumers. But I do have doubts on the long-term viability of this 4th telco.

I think the current price drop is okay,...After all this euphoria abt the 4th telco blows over, the price will slowly climb back up. In fact, it' s a good time now to load-up more on Starhub as the price sinks lower and lower. Better load-up first before the reversal starts,....

personally, i hope MyRepublic wins it.
think the founders formerly from Starhub ? it would be nice to see such talents formerly from Starhub spar with Starhub in real competition, to see who are really good.
BUT, i dont understand why suddenly there is an aussie small player coming into the picture. To have higher bids ?
