If tomorrow dip, I keep, but expected up again then I sell. Usually is sell when news comes out. But on the day itself the first 5 minutes might go up then it will go down when people start selling and shorting. So to play safe sell tomorrow if you cannot hold.

Sgx rules allow to sell first and buy back by end of the day so it is contra. Every 100 lots can make min 100 bucks. Gst, sgx fee, etc good source of revenue. Shortlists are playing within rules. Similarly in up trend market it is I push you push will help the counter recovers fast too. Just play within own limits. A vibrant bourse needs such players around.
Shorting is most nerve wrecking as one needs to cover within short period unless it is thru cfd or borrowed shares. Shortists do not anyhow short, they also need to consider FA, TA & market sentiment.
However, there are those who short blindly just as those longists who buy blindly without DYODD.
