I ever asked before one of the physical store in King Albert Park, and roughly S$5k for higher end models carry there.
Brompton bike got many models, some low end models are cheaper where S$2k+ you can get it provided it is brought in by local dealers.

Last year when I stepped into the Brompton shop at Funan to enquire, it was I think $2,750 for a basic one. So, you are right that the generic ones are roughly 1/3 the price of this lady.

Any idea how much a Brompton cost in our physical stores here?
There are 3 or 4 sellers of Brompton bikes and some have a website but you CANT find prices anywhere.
You need to make an appointment to visit the shop and ask for the price there.
Could it be each dealer doesnt want to reveal their prices so that other dealers cannot undercut and customers cannot compare prices?
Which means the only way to do it is to visit all the dealers here. NABEH.
A generic version cost one-third of Brompton.
Brompton should just reduce their prices. If they do this, the generic versions will either have to further lower their prices or stop selling.
If say a generic version is selling at $900 to $1100 and Brompton sells theirs at $1200, people will just ditch the rest and go for Brompton.
But if a Brompton bike sells at $3500 to $4500, then the price gap is there and that will make the generic version seems acceptable.
Bro TikTok said he paid $2500 for his Brompton when there was a SALE.
