x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	When you short, IG will send a corresponding order to the order books of The Exchange. And IG has to deliver the scrips on settlement day. IG will borrow scrips to deliver. Hence there is a borrowing cost incurred. Put it this way... is there anywhere in the world you can SHORT a counter with any broking house but without incurring a borrowing cost? Dont have. If you SHORT... borrowing cost is an expense you cannot avoid incurring. So the why and whatever doesnt really matter anymore. Also, becoz she is now an uptrend stock, DBS stands for Damn Blardy $HIOK.    But one fine day when her uptrend ends and she reverse and goes on a downtrend hor,  her DBS will stand for something else ler - Damn Blardy SHIT.    And as you know, she announced very generous dividends at her last reporting - $1.10. So her DBS is ..........Damn Blardy $ONG. Next time when earnings start to dip and she reverts to her normal dividends at 56 cts per year,  her DBS will become ..... Damn Bloody SIAN.

A losing general sends his troops into battle first. Then in the midst and chaos of the battle, he  tries to seek victory." If market conditions are not favourable to make a trade, then dont do anything. Take a break instead and merely watch. As a  prudent trader, never never make a trade out of boredom. Becoz if you do that, you are forcing a trade. And usually, such a  trade is at best a 50 : 50 trade.  It is no different from buying BIG or SMALL at a casino. And good traders dont do that. They go for higher probability trades. So when market is boring, the right thing to do is to take a break. Do not feel stressed about not making any trades. You are doing the right thing. The market is trying to bait you. Dont take the bait.

If can clear selllers at 3.43 and price doing 3.43 : 3.44.... 80% probability that Katek Monkey ran road leow. Then it is time to HOOT. But for the more savvy and aggressive traders and investors, they may not want to wait till 3.43 is cleared. Coz from 3.38 to 3.43 is 5 cts. Every 100 lots is $5K. And they want that $5K !!! So they may jump in first guided by broader market sentiments and the intensity of the buy up if accompanied by a surge in volume.
