I guess they see potential in emerging developments  .    Whats the point of    'taking another bite from the same pie whereby everyone is going after' ?   But singtel is very laggard and moving in very slow paste in term of price UP, unlike starhub , it has over taken singtel in terms of  'price movement'.

Amobee is a NOBODY in US, it won't survive long. Terrific waste of money much worse than previous acquisition of Optus Australia, Bharti India etc both of which are already bad enough. Current mkt share of Amobee in US mobile ad is less than 2% ($US30m out of US$1.7B). If they can't survive on their own turf, how r they going to survive in other parts of the world, Asia in particular. @niuyear I never expect them to acquire this due to the fact that its targeted only at Windows based phone whereas majority of the smartphone are Android based if not Apple OS.  Z74 must have seen something creditable in AmoBee to make that decision. |

Amobee, Inc. announced that it has developed a unique advertising unit for the Windows Phone operating system. The ad unit, which is called User Generated Ad (UGA), will be available to brands and advertisers worldwide in second quarter of 2012. UGA will allow consumers to determine the ads they wish to receive on their Windows Phone based on their preferences and behaviors. UGA will be delivered in the form of a Live Tile directly to consumers Windows Phones and will allow Windows Phone users to determine what ads they want, and when they want them. UGA will change the relationship between brands and consumers from a one-to-many relationship to a personal relationship. Furthermore, ads will be delivered in a rich media format, which will make the ads fun, interactive and effective.
