Joelton      ( Date: 05-Jun-2020 08:32) Posted: mDR proposes 100-for-1 share consolidation THU, JUN 04, 2020 - 8:34 PM MAINBOARD-listed mDR has proposed to undertake a 100-for-one share consolidation, subject to shareholders' approval at an extraordinary general meeting (EGM). The share consolidation will raise the theoretical trading price and net tangible asset of each share, which could help increase market  interest in the shares, mdR said. mDR, which provides after-market service for mobile phones and various consumer electronics products, also believes that the share consolidation will  reduce the volatility of its share price and reduce fluctuations in the company&rsquo s marketcapitalisation. Upon completion of the share consolidation, 1,261 shareholders will hold less than 100 consolidated shares.  Shareholders who receive odd lots of consolidated shares can use the Singapore Exchange' s  unit share market to trade in odd lots with a minimum size of one consolidated share. Shareholders who wish to trade on the unit share market should contact their stockbroker, bank manager, or other professional adviser for details on trading. However, shareholders who hold odd lots may have to bear disproportionate transaction costs in trading their shares and may find difficulty in realising the fair market price of such shares.  A circular to shareholders containing details of the proposed share consolidation and the notice of EGM will be despatched in due course, mDR said. mDR also has 49.7 billion  unexercised warrants  pursuant to the rights-cum-warrants issue completed in June 2018. mDR will make further announcements in relation to the adjustments to the warrants at a later date. mDR shares closed at S$0.001 on Thursday. https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/companies-markets/mdr-proposes-100-for-1-share-consolidation#:~:text=MAINBOARD%2Dlisted%20mDR%20has%20proposed,extraordinary%20general%20meeting%20(EGM).

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Never consider to invest in MDR. If I remember correctly, the price of last right issue was 0.005c. And now, what is the current share price? The management had done a few right issues over the years, but the share price kept lower after each right issue. Something is seriously wrong. A company should be able to generate profit from operation, to cover the costs and growth. And not keep asking the money from shareholders. The share price of MDR tells you whether you should invest in this company.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	So strange. more sellers than buyers but buyer buy 2m shares at 0.5c, but seller throw 100 shares at 0.4c worth 40c when min brokerage is $25 just to make it look like trades done at 0.4c???

It looks like a good deal. Pay 0.1c get 3 free warrants. Company also grows biggers rather than continue no action small company with no interest stale. Most important got a catalyst for action and with more cash, big acquisition will follow. Which major shareholder buy out another shareholder total block at market premium, then put more money into company? He average down but also give others chance so participate or not. Better than placement at discount to friends then not fair. I am voting to support rights. Obviously those who buy now will get cheaper than Edward and surely make money. Those bought ACCS days sorry to hear that but no link to current business. It' s like buying Nokia or Blackberry or Kodak 10-20 years ago. I am a new shareholder so my views are different but new or old historical decision no link to current and future decision. Of course i will avoid if same fraud ACCS people still around. Does anyone know please share.
