Malaysia&rsquo s rubber glove makers appealed to the government to allow factories in Selangor state to still operate amid tighter movement curbs that took effect on Saturday to prevent a disruption in global supplies of the protective gear. 2. The Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association is seeking a meeting with the trade ministry as 58% of all gloves produced in the country are sourced from plants in Selangor, Margma President Supramaniam Shanmugam said in a statement on Sunday. 3. The government imposed stricter measures in Selangor, the most industrialized state, and in the capital Kuala Lumpur, which are among Malaysia&rsquo s worst-affected regions despite a nationwide lockdown. Selangor contributed about half the new daily Covid cases on Saturday. 4. &ldquo Global customers of our manufacturers have been calling with great concern on the shortage of production and delivery of gloves to them,&rdquo Shanmugam said. The lockdown had stretched lead times on deliveries and the &ldquo enhanced movement control order will further hamper the supply situation,&rdquo he said. 5. Margma members collectively produce and export gloves to 195 countries, supplying 67% of global consumption. Global demand for medical gloves this year is expected to remain at 420 billion pieces, and jump by 15%-20% in 2022, according to the statement.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	If there is a shortage of gloves from Malaysia which is the world largest producers then the price of gloves will go up right? This happened last year. Not enough rubber gloves for the world. So price went up. A blessing in disguise for Malaysian gloves producers.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Based on Mar 31st Financial Report there was a net cash balance of 49.8m which is encouraging. Also its main revenue comes from Europe( 117.9m).Not that badly affected as Top Glove which have US problem and the rest come from South America(59.45m) North America( 17.6m), Asia 36.9m, Africa 13.6m and Malaysia 7.1m. The 2nd Quarter result should be out in August. The current price of 0.58(3rd July 2021) is unreasonable low.  In April it was arounf 0.73. Gloves will be in short supply this year globally. So the share price should go up towards Aug 2021. What do you think? Your views are welcomed.
