Better read the lips of " Lechon-loving " O . LOL When she was asked very spontaneously by the reporter how she going to use the millions injected , her response waa (caught suprised and awkward expression) : ".....eeerrrrllll ......today is a Happy Day. Will rejoice and enjoy the....etc etc..... let the experta do their jobs ..." I read it as : some creditors and or shareholders will not be very happy (so dont ask today leh....today happy day u know ? )

From what I read the meaning between the lines in the announcement, Hyflux will not sell the Tuaspring plant to pay down the debts. All the debts from the unsecured creditors, medium term notes, preference shares and percapsec holders are likely going to be settled by paying a small portion of tiny cash and the balance outstanding amounts convert to new junk shares. The 3.7 clause of Management retention shares in the announcement was a purpose to compensate the Directors and top management, it is rather unfair to the shareholders, Medium-term notes, Preference shares & Percapsec holders. Let' s vigorously to reject their any unreasonable proposals.

Water tarriff increase was alrealy in formula earlier. How much, if any, will it translate into additional rev for Hflux in the supply agreement with the govt? But I do believe that TO cld turn out to be the bigger $$$ spinner that cld well put Hflux back in the flux again. Not only the refuse disposal charges to be derived from becoming a major player in refuse disposal going forward, but the revenue from the sale of elect generated from the incineration process it cld be especially mouth-watering if elect supply slack can be mopped up n px be shored up But a lot of all these presumably are gonna be foreign exchange outflow henceforth? How has this turn into such an apparent tragedy for sg.

With the 530mil to payoff Maybank debt, and money comes from completing projects and cash generated from Tuas Spring. This is really great deal for Salim And Medco.
Plus they can still sell Tuas Spring in Future for at least >700mil (half of book value to be conservative). And with new strong investor, Hyflux can rights issue later to raise more public fund. |

True much better than Bankruptcy... the following might happen... TS already started to generate possitive cash since Feb18, due to increase in water and electricity price. So it shouldn't need money to run but generate Money. Plus TUASONE project completing soon, get money. Can survive!!!

2. The soup is the same . Hyflux is still burning cash.
