Maybe the BBs and shortists want their big revenge before the reporting of short selling positions begins later this year in Singapore. After that, any BBs and shortists manipulating and acting in collusion can be easily detected by the Authorities, But, if the ChengHu does not even want to support its own stock market, and there are so many short sellers and Big Boys pushing it down - which retailer dares to bet against? Anyway, I just buy cheap and hold long term till death. Collect heaps of dividends along the way. This is my retirement treasure trove.

The BBs are clearly all acting in concert to keep the our stocks down. Rosy economic data released by our govt every month. Rosy property data released by both govt and real estate groups every month. Rosy manufacturing data, rosy torist arrival data, rosy whatever data. Yet our stocks continue in the doldrums while peers around the world are setting record highs. Even on days when HSI rises, STI can still go Red. What a joke. |

Why complain when we have the most undervalued stock market in Asia and maybe the world? Good to buy right? Look at how our property market was talked and beaten down 3-4 years back and now they are selling out new condos at West Coast for $1800psf and Paya Lebar for $2000psf!

I was checking the prices of hotels during the 11 June week, and indeed many seem to have raised their prices compared to normal weeks. Think this Trump Kim Summit will be a huge boost to Singapore' s image as a global city, world city, safe and secure city, city that brings together East and West, marketplace to the world etc. Many global companies will sit up and take notice and consider basing their Asian HQ here. They will be fearful of aligning to either US or China interests, and this message about Singapore will be very powerful. Property prices will continue to rise, with the Singapore premium factor. Also, 7 billion pairs of eyes will be reading newspapers and news about Trum and Kim, with Singapore' s skyline in the background. Free publicity worth billions for the cost of hosting a meeting in Singapore. But, they better execute this well!!!
