Your scenario of going to $3 is possible but it should have happened before anytime from now as it does not matter anymore since they have calculated the TERP . definitely Temasek hope the right shares holder will exercise the rights if not they have to swallow them all.  Hence, by right it should stay above 3. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	From the actions of temesak, their intention is not to privatise. Mkt capitalization is approx $5b and the rights & MCB is $8b+ and up to $15b if additional MCB later. Temasek can easily take it private but choose not to. It can easily offer a price say $5.50 to $6 to take it private. I didnt do the calculations but seem that delisting is cheaper? SIA is different from Keppel. Temesak wants a major stake in keppel so that it can have a major say in the company?s direction. But SIA needs cash. Delisting gives cash to other investors but doesnt have SIA. Temsaek still need to pump in money to delisted SIA.. so i suppose that why they undergo this exercise. Its like, why shld they pay a premium to shareholders to delist when money is needed to help SIA. At the end , its govt and temesak interest to keep SIA alive. Only mother shares will be trading.  so i expect the price to rise compared to the closing price tmr 21st.  however, on the 8th June, ppl will have access to their shares(for those who bought rights and exercise), they market may wanna correct itself, maybe ppl wanna cut lost and will sell. So i expect price to drop as compared to closing price on 7th June.  but all these are what i expect. May not be true.  if u ask if price will hit $3 flat anytime, i really dunno.
