BUT if u choose to vote no and ur SCM is liquidated and ur share delisted, u get back nothing and ur one ray of hope also gone. Like that isn' t it self sabotage? Do not expect temasek to offer $1 or $2 to take SCM private. Is really a zero possibility. Maybe Temasek may offer 20 cents same as the rights issue to take it private, like that even worse, 20 cents will be less than the current trading price of 37 cents. Let me give u an example using football. U losing 3-0 and then u say aiya sure lose, withdraw or play reserves, dun play liao.. like that ur chance is totally gone. 0 chance of winning. But if u continue to play on, there may be a chance of turning around. Look at liverpool from 0-3, in the end win 4-3.  So as long as u still holding to ur SMM shares, and patiently wait for covid to end, anything can happen

IF Temasek offer for Keppel goes ahead in Oct this year, there will sure be speculation and rumours about merger of Keppel marine with Sembcorp marine, then the share price of Sembcorp marine will again rise in anticipation, say 20+ cents to 30+ cents, then u sell for  an extra 50% more.. :) So look out for Temasek annoucement of whether to waive the pre-condition for keppel by 31 Aug. IF they waive and proceed with the offer for Keppel, then i say can take a bet and keep ur SMM shares until OCT when the offer is completed, then surely there will be speculation and rumours of a merger with Keppel, then share price will rise , u can sell then for much high price than u sell when the extra  SMM shares  start trading. That will require more time, more discussion, more efforts, while the economy doesn't wait for you. It's a risk to Veto the whitewash now, just to hope for a short term rally in share price?
