If politics were to be involved as well, I would bet KDDI + Sumitomo + Myanmar MICTDC + A1 Construction plus Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) + KBZ + Myanmar M-Tel to get the 2 licenses. To me, the dark horses are Digicel plus Telenor with their strong bid (the rest seems to be weaker / I have no visibility in their proposals). Wonder Myanmar would grant more license(s) in the future to any of the losers? Exciting and tough competition in this high risk & good potential? business. Interesting mental betting...

With Myanmar opening up and YOMA businesses in property,automobile, tourism, hotel,retail, agriculture will have great potential for great growth.
$2-$3 is not impossible ... Maybe in 2015 or earlier.
For me, I invest for long term.

& that's why now the share price is 1dollar.. people have flocked into this stock because of the backing they have.. the people who have vested in yoma earlier are not blind but smart & have seen the potential it has & that's why they bought it.. subsequent buyers are just following the herd.. assuming everything went successful, they got the deal, reaping back some profits from their investment gradually but no more new news.. do u think it will continue to creep up into becoming like 2 or 3 dollars or even more if no more good news? those late buyers will be wondering that it's weird when price dont go up even as yoma slowly reap the benefits assuming there is.. but they forgot market has already more or less factor in the possibility of getting the deal, & is likely to sell on good news.. that's what i meant they are predicting & going in before news.. furthermore, those poor followers who now then start to buy yoma will be the ones that will take the beating first if the prediction went wrong & yoma didnt manage to get the deal.. yoma did make some money, but remember they have not make that much significant realised profits yet to account for it's current price.. they have went ahead of their fundamentals.. investors are already buying it by predicting they are going to earn big bucks.. it wasnt rational if u think about it, when u compare with companies that have been making steady profit with low p/e ratio.. so at the end of the day, what i want to say is u have to know the risk when u bought a share that keep going up & up, especially ahead of what they are worth currently, & whether u are willing to accept the risk of predicting wrongly..

YOMA has very good potential for growth and I and quietly confident the stock will move upwards.People should go read up this company to understand it better.If you watch the recent WEF in Myanmar,YOMA's Chairman, Serge Pun is one of the panelist.He is one of Myanmar big businessman- SPA GROUP.

I dare to write because I think the chance of reaching is very high based on TA

if it is based on FA, no one will buy.

anyway just watch the show this month- it belongs to YOMA and its clone.

End of day to buy or not to buy it is up to the one who execute to be responsible, dun come back and point finger, cannot tahan this type of pple.

It is for this forum to release a few names of potential stock which scannning has been done so that everyone benefits from it if they agree as well. Walk away if you do not think so.

FYI,Aberdeen Asset Mgt fund and Capital group fund have bought into YOMA. That tell us that there is something in YOMA that they see potential with.I don't think they are blindly buying into YOMA.

sometimes i really cant figure out what people are thinking.. they really like to be fortune tellers, predicting that a company has the potential to be making huge profits when they have not make realised profits which coould take years to come & speculating & " investing" in them, & ignoring those companies that have been making realised profits.. everyone just want to be " pioneer" investors hehe.. sometimes i feel it really doesnt matter in spending time to look at fundamentals deeply, since most people doesnt do it anyway & just following the herd & news.. if they dont think it's fundamentally good, it doesnt matter what u will be thinking.. only 1 thing that is always applicable, buy low sell high, 'cos that's what everyone is thinking lol.. so how high can stocks like isdn & yoma go? we never know how many blind will be following up the blind, with these stocks moving ahead of their current fundamentals..

If the consortium of DIGICEL + SORO'S QUANTUM FUND +YOMA,being awarded one of the telco license. YOMA most likely will be a minority shareholder. Under the T&C set by Myanmar gov., DIGICEL (experience operator)must be the majority shareholder of at least 45% leaving 55% to share among SORO'S and YOMA.(I would guest YOMA take 15%).

diff ppl hv diff strategy. Buy on rumour sell on news!

Yoma & Isdn may cont to move up after taking a pause.But u always hv to put a stop-loss plan in case the stock price suddenly comes down drastically.

think u may consider to take a look at xmh or blumont & dukang.quite similar patterns like yoma & Isdn. short term may cont to move up..

Very likely.There only two stocks that are available for investors/equity fund company to invest their money on Myanmar.That is,YOMA and INTERRA RESOURCE. I like YOMA BEST FOR IT GROWTH POTENTIAL IN THE LONG TERM.If all goes well in Myanmar,the gain will be the best for whoever invest in YOMA.

I guess it is going to shoot above $1if the Yangon Landmark downtown project gets approved by Myanmar gov. and at the same time being awarded a Telco license.

JUNE is an important month for YOMA:
- Awarding of Telco license on 27 June 13.( will be significant for YOMA if their consortium win one of the two license)
- Hopefully Myanmar government approves the Yangon Landmark downtown project ( then Yoma can proceed for right issues @$0.38 cents per share)
- Acquire LDR for Riverside Residential development project - 12 acres
-propose acquisition of tourism company BOB and a piece of land for hotel development in Bagan.
-JV in bidding for airports building construction( Do not know why YOMA did not announce this new)
With so many business activities in the pipelines,YOMA should be doing very well in the near future. Invest for long term

Announce dividend of 0.5 cent.
Very good profit results and will be better in FY 2014 and many more years ahead.

Aberdeen funds has a good track record and that it is the only fund managers that i would not hesitate to put $ on them. Look at their thai fund performance vs its competitors.

Look at YOMA now ...it is also restructuring its management and injecting new blood into its myanmar business. So of these are managers from reputable cos. All in all, Yoma is on the right track and it is serious abt the myanmar ventures so stay vested and accumulate i would think.

Aberdeen Asset Mgt PLC reportedly own 58.2 million of YOMA SHARES. That is about 5.03% of total YOMA 's shares.A substantial shareholder. It bodes well for YOMA.

Very bad news ... the RTO is as good as No Go.
One of the reason is the boss (U ZawZaw) of MSI is a person on the US SDN list.what it means is that no US companies are allowed to have any business dealing those individual who are on the sanction list.( They are what the US gov. Refers to as cronies of the Myanmar military junta).

The share price is going to slide on Monday.

Agreed.If you have seen the YOMA recent presentation slide, you would notice that the organization chart shows that each division has a MD reporting to him and he reports to the chairman.
Rendering the CEO having not much to do because all the division MD are capable to lead their own group.Also don't forget the chairman's sons are also working in YOMA.

Yes I believe CEO is too highly paid for doing financial engineering for Yoma. He has done what is necessary but going forward, he does not sdd much value now that all the businesses are slowly pumping into Yoma.
