DBS low in 2008/2009 was $8 or just below $8. I bought 8.60. Last night,   banks in US fell from between 10-14%. Singapore banks fell 6-8% yesterday. Be informed and make your own decisions. Block out the naysayers and cheerleaders. DO YOUR OWN DUE DELIGENCE.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Fundamentally, the coronavirus has wreacked havoc in countries which DBS has a major presence namely Singapore, HK and China. China GDP grwoth is expected to be halved to 3%. Until they find the cure its only going to get worse. Already we are seeing companies in China struggling and enforcing force majure to walk away from deals. That would really impact the banks. Then there is a double whammy of the virus AND the oil dispute between Saudi and Russia. If no consensus is reached soon (which I don' t think it will at least not so soon) many of the O& G players will default. DBS has quite substantial exposure to this sector. The last time this happened, DBS dropped to $16 when Swiber went under. Coupled with the coronavirus, its fundamentally unsustainable and the full impact of these events has not been fully priced in yet.
