x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Board of Directors Choo Chiang and the Vendors are pleased to announce that, at closed of the Application List at 12.00 noon on 27 July 2015, there were 704 valid applications for the 1,000,000 Offer Shares available to the public for purchase. These applicants applied for an aggregate of 43,283,000 Offer Shares, with application monies received amounting to approximately S$ 15.15 million. As there were only valid applications for 32,020,000 Placement Shares, which amounted to application monies received of approximately S$11.2 million, 260,000 Placement Shares have been made available to satisfy excess applications for the Offer Shares. Based on the total Invitation size of 33,280,000 Invitation Shares and the total valid applications amounting to 75,303,000 Invitation Shares (comprising valid applications received for 43,283,000 Offer Shares and 32,020,000 Placement Shares), the Invitation was approximately 2.3 times subscribed.

Manulife Financial Corp., Canada&rsquo s largest life insurer, is tapping investors included Oman&rsquo s sovereign fund as it seeks to raise S$569 mil ($421 mil) in the biggest Singapore initial public offering in almost a year. Manulife U.S. REIT is looking to sell 694.4 million units at a fixed price of SGD$0.82 cents apiece, according to a prospectus website. The insurer will offer an estimated 6.3% dividend yield for 2016 in  it  offering of its U.S. office properties. &ldquo It gives Manulife increased visibility,&rdquo said Vikrant Pandey, an analyst with UOB Kay Hian Pte in Singapore. &ldquo The REIT appetite is good in Singapore.&rdquo REITs and business trusts were the biggest fund-raisers in S' pore&rsquo s IPO, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. A measure of property trusts traded in Singapore has slipped 0.4% this year compared with the 2.6% drop in the benchmark ST Index. Cornerstone investors in the IPO include Oman Investment Fund, Fortress Capital Asset Management and Nikko Asset Management Asia Ltd., according to the prospectus. The offering could be the biggest initial share sale in S' pore since July last year, providing a boost to a bourse that has seen just $41 million raised through IPOs this year, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The REIT will be backed by three office properties in Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and Orange County, California. DBS Group Holdings Ltd. and JPMorgan Chase & Co. are managing the offer.

Next up is FitBit IPO, the maker of wearable activity trackers that filed its S-1 a week ago. FitBit&rsquo s financials are an entirely different story. Fitbit swung from a $9 million loss in 2013 to a $158 million profit last year, a year when its revenue nearly tripled to $745 million. The trendy if problematic neologism &ldquo unicorn&rdquo refers to companies valued at more than $1 billion. Shouldn&rsquo t there be a less-than-mythical species we can use to signify a private tech company that makes a billion in revenue in a year?

Many people are comparing this against Raffles Medical which is now trading at around 30x PER. For me, I' d see this more of a proxy to Cordlife, since Singapore O& G is in the gynaecology industry. A total of 43.6 millions of shares were offered of which only 2.2 millions are for the public, which translates into about $550K in absolute value. In my opinion, this is way too little and they probably want to get long term institutional investors to come in while leaving little to the public.
