My gosh, even on reddit, the most recommended stock is DBS and banks. I' m holding it for dividend but was surprised people still pouring in and believing it' s going to return > 10%. |

Total-up all the shares boughtback and cancelled from the SGX Filings under proper titles, use start date of all such actions from the AGM Date this year, shld be at end-March 2025. Had a good discussion with Mr Piyush after the AGM and we can use this as the start date to calculate this no of shares and total values of all shares bought back & cancelled till now,... NOT shares kept in Treasury for EOS purposes.

Assuming DBS apply 50% of their committed SBB funds ie. $1.50bil at an average price of $46, that would translate into 32.60m shares. | ||||

DBS is very much a growing bank. Greater China (mainland, HK, Tw), Indonesia, India, all in growth path. We should see strong results from above countries soon. Not all at the same time, some faster, while other need a little more time. Especially India, with more than 500 branches, more effort is needed. Capex on India is a negligible $500m (according to ex CEO). We will see good returns in 3 to 5 years. In view of above, we can safely say DBS will have at least 10 more years of growth. |

Emm,... the dividend payout is as in the following :- 1) Base Dividend for first 3 qtrs of FY2025 = 60c per qtr. 2) Base Dividend for 4QFY2025 will have an increase of 6c per qtr, making 66c per qtr into following qtrs of FY2026. 3) Capital Return Dividend = at least 15c per qtr in FY2025, FY2026 and FY2027.

agreed... 60+ 15 should be a given. ( Any further surprise for SG60 lol) More interesting is the cancelled shares from SBB, pushing profit up for earnings per share ( ROE) Also , I have no surprise for another record AUM . DYODD

I think 75cts for all 4 qtrs in FY 2025 is more or less a given . From the looks of it , TACO man' s bark is very much louder than his bite . |
