x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	virgin mobile shows the way for the 4th telco in singapore. the market is just not big enough for a newtelco. all these continous try of have more operator by the controller of telecomminications is harming shareholder returns. ie tm. and that is lowering return for the garment money to spend. need to shake the servant a bit to stop continous idea that do not work. jsut for show and kill a lot of value.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	the big shorts is blocking the up path of this sing and tel.  i continue to wonder are those shorts number report is open or total shorts. when there is enough believer that this singtel and buy up. the shorts will be belly up. and cover. wonder their reasons for blocking. small market like ours, small fish always at mercy of big one.even when they are wrong. sgx need to rebalance the scenario like limiting the percentage of shorts over traded volume and cannot shorts cannot sell down. money no enough to fight them.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	TPG Telecom and Vodafone Hutchison Australia are set to unveil plans for a merger of equals in a scrip deal that will create a telecommunications giant worth at least $10 billion. Expected to be announced to the market as early as Thursday are details surrounding a merged entity that will be 50.1 per cent owned by Vodafone Hutchison Australia, while TPG Telecom&rsquo s stake will be worth 39.9 per cent. The remaining stake is expected to be held by TPG Telecom&rsquo s chief executive David Teoh and the telco&rsquo s long-time backer Washington H. Soul Pattinson. Mr Teoh will emerge as chairman of the newly merged entity while Vodafone Hutchison Australia&rsquo s current boss, Inaki Berroeta, will be the chief executive. The combined company will be similar in size to the nation&rsquo s second biggest telco Optus in terms of customers.
