Consolidation to match up to the MTP is not a logical way to administer weakness of the share prices of companies that were traded down because of market factors and not because of company management problems. A post consolidation will not strengthen nor further weaken a company' s business., so there is actually no point in getting companies to comply with MTP rules when they are already in the business for so long.

Until one day, when all stock is trading way below their NAV or NTA or other valuation, no one would want to list their company in SGX anymore then heads will roll again.
