I didn' t say it cannot be merge but just that why scm have to match keppel $5+ price ? As keppel offshore is only a part of keppel.corp. perhaps temaek just offer a buyout of all scm shareholders shares directly .. and do whatever it need with scm.. then merge ? |

This is based on actual loss making SMM in consideration , now if demerger goes through , there might be a re-rating . But know that most probably 1.5B loan will be written off as SCI is prepared for that. 2 more variables.
1. 1.5b could possibly recoup if SMM picks up in years to come , risk contained by shipping out SMM shares . And if SMM integrates with Keppel it will even be more interesting 2. FURTHER Future earnings potential of SCI not factor in yet . Incremental catalyst now can be pursued without being tied down by increasing loss consideration of SMM In its books , and there getting facility now is much much easier and any potential M&A or dual listing as SMM won?t be dragging SCI in its review in any projects or activities . Note this is just looking at SCI . For SMM , future is bright too

Before SMM merged into Keppel will do the share consolidation into 10 : 1. 10 Shares to 1 Keppel shares........... That means the SMM shares go up to 50cents before merging so that the prices can match $5 keppel share. SCI will also chiong to $4 by then....... Huat lar..... |

Shareholders of Kepple Corp must be sitting very tight, hoping for the better outcome. I believe the TH deal will proceed if SCM deal done. Ultimately, the SCM and Kepple O& G will merge. So, maybe the nos of SCM shares will be reduced via shares swap. | ||||
