 Alert Admin 		Placement shares is never a good deal for us peasant retailers.
The saving grace is that it has dropped quite abit from its recent high of $1.48 because of the Evergrande scandal, and now trading at only 80% of nav, when it was often at premium to book value before the pandemic.   So, the downside will be limited. Only worry is the new shares are placed to the Communist investors, because they are in habit of not holding long and will throw at any slight gain. Just hope the placement price is finalised at the higher end. Fyi, CICT also has a major stake in it.

 Alert Admin 		Likely drop after lifting of halt, and especially after XD next week. But on the longer term, the more diversified portfolio (now ~ 20% new economy assets) is better for the investors in CLT. The earlier dividend payout of 2.7 cts is a consolation.

 Alert Admin 		Yesterday it went to 1.22 1.23 for a while and I immediately go grab some at 1.23...I normally don' t queue to buy or sell cause for such Temasek heavily invested stock, the upside is more than the downside and thus quite safe.  Furthermore, the price/book value is only 0.758 and thus super under valued compare to the rest of Temasek heavily invested stocks, thus a lot of upside.

Once the shorts are off this stock and the fools stop selling at low to these shorts, CLCT will soar liao.

[HONG KONG] Cash-strapped China Evergrande Group said on Wednesday it plans to sell a 9.99 billion yuan (S$2 billion) stake it owns in Shengjing Bank to a state-owned asset management company as it scrambles to raise funds.

After missing a bond interest payment last week, Evergrande faces a big test on Wednesday with the deadline of another coupon payment of US$47.5 million that investors are watching closely.

Evergrande has rapidly become China' s biggest corporate headache as it teeters between a messy meltdown with far-reaching impacts, a managed collapse or the less likely prospect of a bailout by Beijing.

CapitaLand China Trust obtains maiden S$150m sustainability-linked loan from UOB



CAPITALAND China Trust (CLCT) has obtained its maiden S$150 million sustainability-linked loan from UOB, its manager said on Thursday.

The lender will offer the China-focused real estate investment trust (Reit) a committed term loan facility that incorporates interest rate reductions based on pre-determined sustainability performance targets for the Reit' s properties.

These targets include minimum reductions in carbon emission, energy and water usage.
 

Proceeds from the loan will be used for general working capital and corporate funding requirements, which include financing or refinancing investments.

Tan Tze Wooi, chief executive of the manager, said in 2020, the Reit reduced its portfolio' s water usage by 39 per cent, carbon emissions by 46.2 per cent and energy usage by 39.8 per cent, compared with levels in 2008.

CLCT' s portfolio comprises 11 shopping malls and five business park properties with a total gross floor area of about 1.7 million square metres. They are located across 10 Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Suzhou and Hangzhou.

 Alert Admin 		Temasek bought 6.3 million of CLCT on 4 Aug 2021 (closing price of $1.4).  If Temasek is buying, sure this stock is worth the value.

I' ve bought in progressively from $1.29 till $1.25.  These few days a lot of weak hands selling, think fools are panic selling or those contra traders had to sell after 3 days.  Remembered this CLCT was $1.5 plus in 2019.  Thus now is super under-valued.

Let' s wait for these fools to sell then we buy.  Sure will go to $1.5 plus level as this Evergrande issue also not related to CLCT at all.  I would say CLCT could benefit from this Evergrande fallout as there will sure be fire sale of Evergrande properties as they needed cash now.
