Add on for better results. 

1. Divestment of Indonesia yard is a positive as confirmed by Seatrium CFO.

2. US$108 millions is within last years provisions, mean might have some surplus. US$68 millions is a negative though.

3. 3rd Tennet wind farm estimated of S$8.76 bn, if awarded as claim will be soon by Management, total order book is S$34.56 bn. 

4. Tax incentives for lost making companies for 3 consecutive years as suggested by MrBear12.

5. Interest rate is considered stable as secured undrawn loan of S$2 billions. 

6. S$500 millions loan redeemed,   lesser expenses for loan interest payment.

1H23 revenue at $2.9 billions achieved EBITD of $258 millions (before provision for contracts and merger expense).

1Q24 OCBC estimated revenue of $1.8 billions (excluding repair and upgrading contract).

1Q24 DBS estimated revenue of $2 billions. OCBC and DBS average estimate of $1.9 billion for 1Q24.

If 1H24 can achieve revenue of said $1.9 billions x 2 quarters on average for total of $3.8 billions, directly proportion with 1H23 on EBITD and revenue $258 millions divide by $2.9 billions

1H24 EBITD is estimated as $338 millions, 31% better than 1H23 EBITD, for assumption purpose with status quo intact while 1H24 should have some savings from impairment process on dispreciation, expenses and 2 cost saving measures.

Above is purely base on projection and assumption for estimate as a guide, hopefully Seatrium can do better.

Since Seatrium had been making three consecutive years of losses, won' t it have some tax credits which can be used to offset any taxation on future profits?
That will have some effect on the net profit or profit after tax.
Going ahead, finance costs should also go down as debts are paid. 

Just some random thots for your consideration.
Lots of uncertainties still. But looking hopeful!

This  is a very amazing order book sum, more than what CEO Chris earlier $30 bn statement for full capacity with resources to be used, if not wrong.

Once achieve this new order book, next year Revenue of $10 bn to $12 bn should be closer if not reaching. EBITD of $1 bn will be on sight much earlier hopefully.

 Alert Admin 		The main point we are making here is:
As topline (revenue) improves and as costs (tax & interests) decrease, bottomline should also improve accordingly.

But as usual, there are many assumptions made here like constant interest rates and favorable tax charges. So we are not sure how the profit will be this year. It is still an unknown. But there are visible improvements in certain parameters that could bring in the profits in the future. This is what we are prepared to say. As usual there are forward looking statements which we do well to take into account.

Large Wind Orders Still In Play.
 
The contract allocation for TenneT' s third 2GW High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) project is expected to close soon and Seatrium does not expect any delays.
 
Note that while the US has seen some order cancellations (particularly on the US East Coast), the same cannot be said of the EU which has continued to expand its offshore wind capacity. Recall that TenneT' s second HVDC was worth EUR6b.

Note - 

EUR6b with Currency Convertor show S$8.76 b.

 Alert Admin 		Some will view today as a setback especially when we see other counters run up while we stagnate. Sometimes we even have to bear the scorn of those who sneer at us while they are holding these other advancing counters.
But despair not, because it is a matter of timing. Sure, others may outperform Seatrium for awhile. The race is not always won by the swiftest. Remember the rabbit and tortoise story of old?
