Nop. The 2.7c is not to make retailers happy. All holders including current institution holders will get this. This is because the new private placement holders should not get the div from Jun to 19Oct. Normal book keeping stuff.

Thanks for the reply bro. Damnnn, I should have bought at the dip yday. I didnt buy cos I thought there will be a rights issue. Opportunity lost just bcos im blur... I oversubscribed to the last rights issue and I was not dissapointed.

Nope.  This time is selling the new shares to other private firms or investors, thus private placement, it is different from issuing rights to current unitholders.  Thus no need to do anything on our side.  They offering the lower range to the private firms and thus gave us some " sweets" like 2.7 cents to cover the losses and most probably to make us happy lah.

I am a fan of CLCT and hold quite alot of shares. I am confused by the recent placement news. Is it the same as what happened a year back when there was a rights issue, and we all received notifcation of the shares allocated and we applied through ATM? Sorry if my question is silly! |

That' s always the tough question. But if you are LT then it' s pretty simple. Last year when they offered 1.17 for retaill, a lot of people were saying it would drop below that after Ex. But it actually reversed course and never touched 1.17 (unadjusted). From there it went on to the high of 1.4x. So far the PA is very similar to last year' s CD phase of the right exercise. But of course stock market is never the same. Today Reits is under pressure last year it was reopening blah blah blah. See how one wants to view it. Haha.

If Q4 maintain Q2/Q3 performance (by the look Q3 is already as good as Q2), I think it will beat your estimate already.

My personal estimate is about 8.5 cts even w/o the logistics assets and the Edge article even forecast up to 10 cts! Either way, i was happy to load more yesterday (just got to steel my heart to ignore how new investors always get a better deal).  Side question, anyone know what platform allow AI (accredited investors) to apply for such placement shares? Can pm me. Thanks!

Q3 looks on par to Q2. If Q4 maintains, then FY2021 definitely should be pretty good.

1st Half div was 0.0423. By 19Oct, 3.66 months from June have passed, and the indicative div is 0.027. I think that tells a lot what Q3 result will be. Then by 26Oct when the result is out it will no longer be a surprise.   |

Correct.  If no good, yesterday the attack by the shorts goondos a lot of people will sell low to them already, but the price still holds quite strongly.  If no good, those insiders or employees already sell-off CLCT even before the deal is disclosed liao.

Capitaland has capable people studying this deal for a long time, and the people who dealing it is not like that hopless arrogant wet between the ears Sherman.
