Shares of Singapore Airlines (SIA) are now an opportunity to accumulate, according to CGS-CIMB Research.

  This comes following the national flag carrier&rsquo s first ever annual loss of $732.4 million in FY20 ended March 31.

  The brokerage made its recommendation in view that much of the negative news have already been priced in.

  As such, CGS-CIMB has upgraded the stock to an &ldquo add &rdquo rating from &ldquo hold &rdquo previously, and raised its target price to $4.60 from $4.45 previously

Latest Commentary from SIA: The Singapore Government has recognised SIA as a strategic asset and announced an aid package of $750 million to support the aviation sector. This will be used to pay local staff and provide rebates on some outgoings. It is clear that there is determination not to let SIA collapse.

Sias also interviewed SIA chief executive Goh Choon Phong. This can be found on the Sias website

Think for the past few days they alraedy know that....

Today theyneed to pump it up or the BBs have tricked the ppl to sell to them that I have proposed before.

Once BB in to see the profit in the arbitrage . they wont let it come down one... look at the ridiculous Genting.

Theres a arbitrage opportunity since mother shares is selling $3.68 , the rights has to be around $0.65

Having said so, today bounce will be short lived. Once u buy the rights, u have to pay another $3 since trading of rights close today. Unless u willing to let ur rights become worthless.

SIA will fall back. US airlines have domestic travel demand, SIA doesnt. Moreover, covid cases spiking up and expect to see 2nd wave. I can tell u the task force are worried but no choice. Take a bet, try to get some revenue for few days at expense of import cases than maybe we all go back to CB
