x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I heard about this before. And I also heard that other brokerages also do it. Its just a matter of degree only. I also heard that they pick on big account holders to trigger your stop loss to stop out your trades. But I dont have that problem. Becoz I dont use a stop loss. If I want to cut, I do it myself.  So far, I do not have any of the issues mentioned by the people at the other stock forums. My most common issue with IG is that when I want to short a counter, the system rejects my order due to insufficient scrips. When I called them, they then tried to borrow more scrips from their brokers so that I can SHORT. Sometimes they can get. Sometimes they cant. But I suppose insufficient scrips and hence cannot SHORT a counter is an issue faced by other brokerages as well. A stock which is like a house on fire and is being sold down by the entire market...will most likely be unSHORTABLE becoz there are no scrips left to borrow. The owners of those scrips need them back to dump the stock. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	This early afternoon, big buyer snapped up 500K lots at 3.33. Big seller immediately replenished it with 800K lots. Several minutes later, buyer swept up the shares and queued more than a million at 3.33. There was an attempt at 3.34 towards the end of the day. But the seller had the last say at 3.33 with almost 2 million sold. I can still remember more than 11 million shares were sold after hours a few days ago just to press the price down. The previous day it was 5 million sold followed by million bought up the next morning. So, the seller is very determined.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Buyers at 3.33 were whacked. Now 3.32 : 3.33. Last Low was 3.30. The Katek Monkey moved his HQ down to 3.35 ler. Any attempt by the Bull Army to push the price back up... if 3.35 gets whacked again, that will confirm the Katek Monkey has shifted his HQ down to 3.35.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	When you short, IG will send a corresponding order to the order books of The Exchange. And IG has to deliver the scrips on settlement day. IG will borrow scrips to deliver. Hence there is a borrowing cost incurred. Put it this way... is there anywhere in the world you can SHORT a counter with any broking house but without incurring a borrowing cost? Dont have. If you SHORT... borrowing cost is an expense you cannot avoid incurring. So the why and whatever doesnt really matter anymore.
