There are stocks that meant to be traded and there are stocks that we meant to be invested in and held for long term. Riverstone is one of the latter. Know their business and their propsect. Look at the performance of company over the many years in business. Take note of their dividend payout record and policy. For this year' s dividend payment (24 sens or about 7.27 cents), the yield is easily above 7%. At the current share price of $0.985, the yield is about 7.38. I have been holding on to RS for a long time in my SRS account and this is much, much better than keeping in FD. So if you have money to invest for the long term, RS is definitely something you like to have. Don' t have to be unduly concerned about the daily price fluctuation. Just my views only. |

Dividend amount already mentioned in their full year financial announcement. 8 sens final plus 6 sens special dividend. Total 12 sens. Including the 12 sens given in the previous 3 quarters, total dividend is 24 sens (or SGD 7.27 cents based on exchange rate of 3.30 RM). Based on today' s closing price of $0.97, the dividend yield is a whopping 7.5%. This is why I am keeping RS in my porfolio of dividend paying shares. |

around this time should be making known the cash dividend/distribution .... likely tomorrow, end the week. there are counters experienced share price declined due to dividend amount reduced, perceived as insufficient by investors. hope no change or better. |
