Q4 2013  was a good indicator which  NOL made loss of 135million dollar. Q1 2014 operation environment didn't improve at all http://www1.chineseshipping.com.cn/en/indices/scfi.jsp  freight rate index drop 5.3% last week. It will drop further due to giant vessel delivery, just NOL , 10x 10,000TEU container vessels will be delivered, China slow down, no chance filling the oversupply gap. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Bear in mind, Maesrk, CMA and MSC were operating with huge profit in 2013. No hiking rate plan for Maersk so far, and previous plan for rate hinking are not going to work anymore in this overcapacity market. Time to wipe out weak players.

While cost cutting is key to survival in the tough market for shipping, ultimately, it has to be growth that will excite anyone. Let's hope that the world economy will indeed recover and recover stronger than expected esp the Europe market and overal sea trade will surge. Positive news continue to come from Europe. We will have to watch Japan and China. There were 798 lots shorts yesterday compared to 1647 lots shorts on Thursday. There were 3012 lots available for borrowing on fri compared to 3111 on thurs. Either SGX figures are inaccurate or many shortists covered back intraday which is not evident on thurs but maybe so on fri or there are a number of naked shorts stay open. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Everyone, not need to get so worked up... Everyone got his/her point...It is true that NOL is in bad shape, loss-making and high gearing. If it dun turn around soon, it really will go into privatisation or right or bankruptcy...the question, what is ah gong thinking? NOL means alot for singapore which is a port hub. Will they privatise it? I personally dun think so...Will it issue rights? I think so.....Will it bankrupt? I dun think so.... I myself vested between $0.95~0.98. I view the recent bad news as a good news....The Q4 loss definitely can slap NOL/Temasek up (just like co-driver slap main-driver)...better buck up........let's just wait and see. If temasek allow NOL to go bust?I also have nothing to say?
