Most good operating companies will have an ESP on standby either on the platform or on the shore so that if there is any problem with the one that is pumping out the oil, it can be just swapped out and disruption will be miminal. Maybe 1-2 days at most. But these guys have to call in international experts to help diagnose what is the problem and attempt to fix it. When they come up with shit like that, you know Rex is trying to pull the wool over investors eyes because 99% of the people out there don' t know jackshit about oil and gas production. To put it another way, they are LYING. So what are they trying to hide? In any case, let me teach you something - it is not so easy to just turn on and turn off the tap on oil production like what you' re hoping that Rex (or any oil company will do). If they mess about with production like that, it will damage the oil reservoir in the ground. And it' s a complicated thing to just choke back on production at the wellhead. Opec is cutting so why should the rest ramp up unless huge order waiting to fullfill. So far only Iran is going against the trend, but stockpile around the world is is running lower but buying is still weak due to China as all don' t feel tohe need to rush. Key movement in oil px usually  reflect the demand / supply, production volume / pricing will fall into the hands of  of the company, where they decides what' s the best for the company. just my view
