OVER the five trading sessions from Nov 22 to 28, institutions were net buyers of Singapore stocks, resulting in a net institutional inflow of S$188 million, reversing the net outflow of S$38 million observed over the five preceding sessions up to Nov 21.

 

Stocks that led the net institutional inflow over the five sessions to Nov 28 were Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings : BS6 -0.41%, OCBC : O39 0%, Keppel : BN4 0%, CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust : C38U -1.01%, Singapore Exchange : S68 -0.93%, UOB : U11 -0.38%, Seatrium : 5E2 0%, Jardine Matheson Holdings : J36 -0.16%, Eneco Energy : R14 +10% and Thai Beverage : Y92 +0.89%.

 

Meanwhile, Singtel : Z74 +1.64%, Frasers Logistics & Commercial Trust : BUOU -0.55%, CapitaLand Investment : 9CI -0.36%, Singapore Airlines : C6L -0.16%, AEM Holdings : AWX -1.49%, Hongkong Land Holdings : H78 +0.66%, Frasers Centrepoint Trust : J69U -0.47%, Sembcorp Industries : U96 +0.97%, Keppel Real Estate Investment Trust : K71U -0.58% (Reit) and ESR-Logos Reit : J91U 0% led the net institutional outflow.

 

From a sector perspective, the five sessions saw industrials and financial services book the most net institutional inflow, while telecommunications and Reits booked the most net institutional outflow.

 

The five sessions also saw 22 primary-listed companies conduct buybacks for a total consideration of S$44.8 million, up from the S$27.6 million in the preceding five sessions.

 

On Nov 28, DBS : D05 +0.43% bought back 350,000 shares at an average price of S$42.04 per share for a total consideration of S$14.7 million. This represented 0.01 per cent of its issued shares (excluding treasury shares).

 

The five trading sessions saw more than 70 director interests and substantial shareholdings filed for more than 30 primary-listed stocks.

 

Directors or chief executive officers filed 21 acquisitions and two disposals, while substantial shareholders filed six acquisitions and two disposals.
