Hope Adani doesn' t impact Wilmar too much.

The Big Short.....

Adani Wilmar dropped to Rs 399.95 today.

End Nov 2022 it was Rs628.50


" Adani Wilmar IPO shares were listed on stock exchanges on January 8, 2022. On the listing date, Adani Wilmar Limited' s shares closed at Rs 265.20 against the IPO issue price of Rs 230. The listing day gain was Rs 35.20.

Since listing, Adani Wilmar share prices have tripled and gained over Rs 470. The share price on May 27 was at Rs 703 on BSE" .

Read that Temasek is an investor in Adani Ports.

The joint venture, Adani Wilmar, was incorporated in 1999, and is now one of India&rsquo s fastest-growing packaged food companies. 
 
KUALA LUMPUR &ndash Singapore-listed Wilmar International will continue to support its joint venture with India&rsquo s Adani Group, saying a report from short-seller Hindenburg Research has not raised any issues specific to the unit.
 
The day-to-day operations of Adani Wilmar are managed by an independent team of professional managers and the board is chaired by an independent director, Wilmar said in response to questions from Bloomberg News.
 
In running the venture, Wilmar contributes expertise on the commodity and consumer food product businesses, while Adani provides local logistical and regulatory support, the agribusiness giant said on Tuesday.
 
The sprawling Adani Group, controlled by Indian tycoon Gautam Adani, has been rocked to its core in recent days after Hindenburg accused the conglomerate of widespread corporate malfeasance, including market manipulation and accounting fraud, in a bitter showdown that has riveted investors worldwide.
 
The allegations have erased more than US$72 billion (S$94.6 billion) in market value of the conglomerate this week despite a lengthy rebuttal from the Adani Group.
 
&ldquo We will continue to support our Indian associate,&rdquo said Wilmar, adding that Adani Wilmar, which was recently listed on India&rsquo s National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange, had undergone a full initial public offering process under the scrutiny of regulators.
 
The joint venture was incorporated in 1999, and is now one of India&rsquo s fastest-growing packaged food companies, supplying essentials such as edible oil, wheat flour, rice, pulses and sugar.
 
Despite Wilmar&rsquo s supportive comments, shares in Adani Wilmar dropped again on Tuesday, losing ground together with other Adani-linked stocks. Adani Wilmar fell 5 per cent on Tuesday, with losses over the past four sessions nearing 19 per cent.
 
Wilmar&rsquo s response comes as Abu Dhabi&rsquo s International Holding Company pledged to invest about US$400 million in a follow-on share sale at Adani Enterprises, voicing confidence in the billionaire&rsquo s businesses despite the market turmoil.

business. if not they have gone asset light already. if that happen debts go down, growth gpo faster  and 
eps and dps will go up.

any way the type of hoax issue by shorties will become less and less effective as a way
to press down price. 

money always exceed the number of shares issue.
if owner has enough resources they can always 
catch the shorties with money, news and measures. 
all business must get these ready for one do not know when these crazy short fund will attack.

 Alert Admin 		From what I read, short seller did a 2 years' work digging into its empire. It is only past 3 years that Adani' s $10-20B went to over 100B! Same as in Best World, short seller did ground work, monitored all those ' shops' not in any shopping centres before they take action. Noble was pretty unfortunale as no gold mountain backing unlike Olam which being a local co has temasick' s huge cash pile to fight back. Wall St believes short sellers play a crucial role macam whistle blower esp all share prices keep going to the moon.

one way adani can defence against these big shorts that used report with a lot of questions to create doubt is to engage a power house to counter them.  tactics that can work against them is get money ready. short with them and faster then them to gather shorts. so that one is in control.
get positive news, actions like share reductions etc ready, at the right moment. release the short buyback, relase the news etc and make sure the shorts die pain pain.
these shorts uses man on the street fear and those wanting quick buck to make money. at the expense of real investors. sure hope to have people to make them pain pain.

reason. they are in a different market with different participants.
the share price of these listed subsidiary going up did not help as it is the asset/liabilities that is consolidated into wilmar.  unless wilmar sell some to realise profit. it will not help.
the improving business performance of these subsidiary will help wilmaro is cash flow or debt reductiopn.  wilmar still has to work hard on how to remove debt from their books.
think wilmar holding everything too tight and not out sourcing those that can be outsource.
go asset light, for business expansion. it will be faster else. high debt will limit speed of growth.
