And besides, hedge funds are not obliged to track any index. They may use the MSCI as a benchmark. Nothing else. So they may not even have any interest in Seatrium at all. Funds tracking MSCI will just offload Seatrium and replace with the newly inducted into MSCI stocks. That is all I know. Pure and simple. No complex theories.

I thot only hedge funds short sell. Never heard of ordinary funds like unit trusts and ETFs short sell. Personally, I don' t believe in any of these last minute sell theories. Meant to scare people only. |

Few theories here we heard about 31 May last day of MSCI, there is a question to ask, can those Funds in MSCI short sell when Seatrium is in that Index? If yes, on 31 May, do they have to buy back to cover the short before MSCI last day? During those times, is there many Funds holding Seatrium stocks? seem like no ones want to hold Seatrium before this huge contract wins and surge, and when the short is mighty shooting it down, no defend or buy to average by them, doesn' t seem to have any of such actions, just an opinions. Those who are familar please advise. Thank you. |

Personally I prefer we consolidate around 1.90 so we can continue the move up gradually. I guess the MSCI Analyst got fired. If it was good to add to MSCI at these prices without a 11 billion contract. It sure is a good add at these prices with a 25 billion orderbook. Most likely we will be back in MSCI within few quarters. They now have to wait to justify taking Seatrium out. | ||||
