the holding period is also my concern too. Thats why I decided to stay back and watch with my current holdings only. Cos once they get their shares, they can sell immediately for a quick profit. While the share price suffers.

That's the point that bring down the px, they need fund to ensure their mine is develop as per schedule, that scare ppl one more reason that holds me back to buy at current px is no condition attach for holding period like 6-12mth cannot sell etc.... meanwhile to collect more when it fall below support level 0.19

let's put it this way la, maybe they desperately need money due to short term cash flow problem because of this incident. so bad shape already that beggars can't be choosers so just have to offer at lower price to get investors onboard lor.

This news is neutral - neither good nor bad to retail investors. DYODD 15 Nov - Placement of 98m shares at $0.183 = $17.9m. Does it mean that the fair value is only $0.183? For the past 1 & a-half yr, Share px of LionGold was very steady at above $1.00 before the crash (see graph below). So those who bought then r diluted by this placement at only $0.183. With net proceeds of just $17.9m there won't be any meaningful investment. The co must have hit the wall and have other means of raising working capital. Introduction fee is 5%. As recent as 11 Oct (a month ago), co had to cancel a placement for 180m shares at $1,10907 & additional 135m warrants at $0.02. These 2 would have netted over $200m if it went thru but was terminated b'cos of the crash - what a pity. |

Do anyone hear any information about the investigation of MAS? I think that we should have some news on 14 Nov already right? If the MAS and SGX can't make public clear about the three companies, these stocks will keep devalued no matter how good their reports are. sigh... | ||||

Long term yes I agree is good news but short term I disagree Simple logic, if the company offer below NAV that only means I should not buy above offer price.... I am vested only for long term, only to add more if fall below 0.19

don't be disappointed bro, coz everyone expecting it to run so they purposely don't run. anyway i really think liongold should be no problem one la. it just happened to be suay and got caught up in this incident coz of all the intertwined connections with the 2 other companies. operationally wise the company is still sound and expected to have another 2 of their gold mines that they acquired to start gold production in 2015. also i see this Nicholas Ng i think he should be ok one la, during designation period he still told TheEdge he did all he could, he wrote in to beg and scold SGX somemore. if guilty still dare to scold them meh? lol. but maybe other insiders got problem this i dunno la but i think problem will be solved once the perpetrator is caught and removed. maybe out of the trio really got 1 of them got problem la but i don't think all 3 will go down together. cannot be worst case scenario all 3 also delisted ma right? so be positive and patient.

Shorted at 20.5cts and covered and longed a little at 19.8cts. I agree that this is a counter with extremely and unusually low valuations. However, the hangover of an ongoing sgx and MAS investigation will continue to be a massive drag on the stock. Not willing to invest a lot on this counter until the fallout is over. May well have to buy at a higher price later on, but it's all about risk management.
Am also very disappointed at the heavily discounted subscription price in the recent announcement. Management could have helped set a floor on valuations with a higher subscription px but the board appears to have other ideas. If not, the board could have selected other funds besides PPVA, funds of more credible reputes. PPVA is already heavily involved in the trio and Innopac. It might have been better to inject fresh ideas and perspectives into the company. Keeping my cards close to the chest until the air clears. CE |

totally agree bro.. Thats why i say, liongold is a better bet right now than so many other counters. This one if not greedy, 40c to 60c can let go and earn 2 folds. Why not hold onto it and watch your money grow ?

calm down folks....let's celebrate the good news and hear " the Lion roar" , as we are " Singapore" !! Recently a few months back Hankore did a placement at 0.05c, cccx123 knows, and the stock climbed over 65% to 0.085 (now at 0.067 due to the penny stock fiasco & brokerage blocks) BUT more to come. With Lion in such a beaten down position and such fantastic well diversified assets and a super-low valuation of USD16/ounce of gold vs industry average of 217, a few fold run up cannot be ruled out !! Huat Ah, now that people are pouring miilions into your mouth !!!! |
