2 large trades today, at 9:18am someone sold 300,000 shares at 1.88 and at 10:06am a huge trade 668,000 shares sold at 1.87. I wonder what these 2 trades could be. As unlikely to see someone run out of SCI before its Dividend 5 working days away. | ||||

Not much movement, 1.86 1.87 1.88. However, the vol seem higher than last few day. my take is that later BB will come in to push up. But not rocket lar, may try to cross 1,90 only. | ||||

While theres short term downside risk for to share overhang for smm, i think upside potential outweights with impending merger n recovery from covid. Who knows its a multibagger in disguise. | ||||

Why sembcorp is probably best to buy now 1) Utility pure play - there isnt direct comparison of utility play in SGX listed stocks. One business trust which is very close to it is Kep Infra Trust. Trading at 1.77 P/B. Just look at Sembcorp after demerger. Using 0.8 P/B as a conservative benchmark. It will be at $1.44 range per share. (this is still under value of sembcorb ulitity business). I see it trading close to 0.9 P/B at least which is 1.65 per share. (in short term) 2) You get Sembcorp Marine at 0.2 a share. 0.2 is 0.33 P/B. All time low. Any upside, to 0.25 is 25% extra gain. If rebounded to 0.29 (theoretical ex rights), you gain near 50% more. Now is trading at 1.88/189. See you up there soon. |

SEMBCORP Industries is divesting its entire 32 per cent stake in joint venture company Shenzhen Chiwan Sembawang Engineering Co (CSE) to Chixiao Enterprise Co, for a gross consideration of 150 million yuan (S$29.4 million), it said on Tuesday CSE is in the business of fabrication and sale of offshore engineering, onshore industrial and structural engineering steel structure products. The company operates under a 30-year business licence which expires in July 2024. The group said: The consideration for the sale took into account the uncertainty of the marine industry outlook and the limited remaining operating period before the business licence expires. Sembcorp carrying value of this investment was S$27 million as at June 30, 2020. |

Sembcorp Industries to divest stake in joint venture for 150 million yuan MARISSA LEE SEP 1, 2020 05:52 PM SEMBCORP Industries is divesting its entire 32 per cent stake in joint venture company Shenzhen Chiwan Sembawang Engineering Co (CSE) to Chixiao Enterprise Co, for a gross consideration of 150 million yuan (S$29.4 million), it said on Tuesday. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the year, subject to certain conditions precedent, including the regulatory approval of the local Administration for Market Regulation. The consideration, net of taxes, will be received in cash upon completion of the sale. The divestment of this non-core asset is in line with Sembcorp' s capital recycling efforts, the group said. CSE is in the business of fabrication and sale of offshore engineering, onshore industrial and structural engineering steel structure products. The company operates under a 30-year business licence which expires in July 2024. The group said: " The consideration for the sale took into account the uncertainty of the marine industry outlook and the limited remaining operating period before the business licence expires." Sembcorp' s carrying value of this investment was S$27 million as at June 30, 2020. A S$30 million impairment charge on the investment was taken in the group' s financial results for the half year ended June 30, 2020 |
